You're posting on the Internet. That alone invites discourse on its own and I think that they handled things well. They were unsure of the validity of their opinion and invited others to comment on the situation. You are saying that they did this in bad faith, when all they were doing was asking for a secondary opinion; ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU ARE CREDITTING A SOURCE KNOWN TO CAUSE HARM. You are also using age as a way to assert yourself as a victim, when all they did was ask others how they felt, INVITING DISCUSSION NOT HARASSMENT. I think it's gross that you're using her as a scapegoat because you got negative reactions to a very volatile subject.

This is to say, I don't think you're wrong in having your opinion. I would personally not use Autism Speaks as a source for anything as they are known for their misinformation and spread of harmful ideologies. That doesn't mean I don't think others can't use it, but you need to be aware of the reputation of the organization. One person allowing your post to gain more traction does not make them at fault for the harmful actions of others. You are handling the situation poorly and trying to hold Summer accountable both for others' reactions and now your own.

I have no idea what gulab jamun is but I know that it can be a struggle to get cultural focused art out there and I don't do a good job engaging with it, so have a reblog.

Over 10 years ago I drew this mother naga with her kid and a bowl of gulab jamun, and I was blown away to see people still reblogging it and saying kind things here. after months of work, it's finally here - the animatic of a scene from my rwby fanfiction, renewal.

for as rough and messy as it is, this took me a great deal of time and effort, especially when a certain other animatic was released that far exceeded my work in quality and caused me to feel deeply inadequate. but what matters most to me is that i still got it done. it would mean a lot to me if you guys could give this some love, perhaps even a like on the video itself. not just because of my hard work, but because of the work of the voice actors, too!
