do you know how long i’ve been hearing that the slowing of the ocean conveyor belts was going to enable a cascade of catastrophic consequences. and now not only has one slowed, it’s begun reversing. why should i have hope for the future? what does it matter that i numb my senses and wait for death to take me while suffering occurs on a scale i can scarcely comprehend around me?

i try not to add doom type stuff to peoples posts but like wdym suicide is still considered an indication of an individual problem and not a reaction to systemic oppressive forces 😔. when i told my psychologist in year 11 that i had regular panic attacks about climate change and then explained exactly how dire things were, we both looked at each other like this 👩‍💼🙍. because there IS no sign of pathology in someone expressing despair at the wilful destruction of their shared home. there is nothing irrational about existential terror at the thoughts of what your family is facing in nigeria with no insulation against the worst of climate change. anyways with the 2019-2020 australian bushfires sending black smoke that darkened our skies, as a backdrop to our sessions, she suggested that i try postponing my anxiety 👍 it didn’t work i just became suicidal instead.

Honestly, I’m feeling disgusted by this world. Mind you, the few trucks that are coming in keep getting looted by gangs, and GHF/IOF has been relentlessly continuing this cycle of massacring aid seekers. None of the countries mentioned above are doing anything to break the siege and send aids to Gaza!

With all this going on, this is a shoddy attempt to wash their hands of any responsibility.
