marinette  was  just  a  normal  girl,  with  a  normal  life.  out  of  all  people  to  fall  in  love  with...  chat  noir,   was  the  least  normal  choice.  despite  her  tie  to  him  as  ladybug...  she  felt  like  for  once,  she  was  seen  as  marinette  dupain-cheng,  &  not...  ladybug,  like  the  rest  of  the  world  knows  her  as.  the  way  he  smiles  at  her,  that  wasn't  for  ladybug...  it  was  for  her,  right?  the  way  he  holds  her  delicately,  looks  after  her,  it's  for  her.  so  no...  the  way  she  feels,  the  way  her  aquamarine  eyes  stare  into  his  emeralds  for  just  a  bit  longer...  no,  he's  not  wrong.  god,  she  wishes  her  life  was  normal,  simple.  she  wishes  she  could  be  a  normal  teenage  girl,  with  a  normal  teenage  life.

she's wordless in her overly thought motions, her  hand  nervously  twitching  as  she  reaches  out  for  his  gloved  ones. she hesitates for a few moments, before intertwining his gloved palm with her own.  she'd  regret  this...  but,  she'd  want  to  be  selfish,  just  this  once.
