Baltimore Country Police Fatally Shoot a Black Woman and Injure Her 5-Year-Old Child.

23-years-old Korryn Gaines has been shot by Baltimore County police on Monday. Her 5-year-old son was shot in a limb and taken to the hospital. The boy is expected to survive.

Three officers went to Gaines’ apartment in Randallstown at approximately 9:20AM to serve arrest on her and a man for traffic violations.

All the videos Gaines shot before she was shot and all her media are being deleted!

Can anyone tell me since when a 5-year-old child is a threat?!

An Iowa football player’s Pokémon Go game ends with four police guns pointed at his face

Faith Ekakitie, a defensive end for the University of Iowa, had a reason to fear for his life. He was heading back home, playing Pokemon Go and listening to music when the 4 police officers approached to him with 4 guns pointed at his face. 

The reason for such a behavior was that the nearest Banked was robbed and the Ekakitie matched the description. Luckily, the police didn’t shoot him when he reached into his pockets, for something which was his PHONE.

“My pockets were checked, my backpack was opened up and searched carefully, and I was asked to lift up my shirt while they searched my waistband,” Ekakitie wrote. “Not once did they identify themselves to me as Iowa City Police officers, but with four gun barrels staring me in the face, I wouldn’t dare question the authority of the men and woman in front of me. This is what happened from my point of view.

“Today was the first time I’ve truly feared my life,” the 23-year-old Faith Ekakitie wrote on Facebook.

Yes, Faith Ekakitie is lucky to be alive. Not many survived in such cases.

Most people I know had that one movie as a kid; that one movie that they would watch over and over and over to the resigned acceptance of their parents. I’ve always thought that movie says something about a person. What was your movie?

Tumblr is so exhausting. Not everyone or everything is bad. Everyone and everything eventually fucks up and says/does something they shouldn’t but not everyone and everything should be written off because of those things. It’s so, so fucking tiring to read people having to constantly justify their enjoyment of someone or something. Liking someone or something does not mean you condone everything about it or them. 

Cutting out someone or something that is important to you or has a positive impact on you just because someone on Tumblr says they’re problematic or digs up old receipts is so upsetting and unnecessary. You do you. Enjoy what you enjoy, recognize the problems it inevitably has, but don’t feel pressure to give someone or something up if you don’t want to and if they make you happy. It’s fine. You’re allowed.

On Monday, Twitter user @iBeKabir learned that searching the phrase “three black teenagers” on Google images yields almost exclusively mugshots of black teens. While “three white teenagers” yields friendly stock photos. Are these Google results racist? Yes, but it’s not because of Google.
