Varian blacked out as soon as the bar came into contact with his head. He and Hugo had just finished a break through on Corona’s water pressure.
But as soon as he woke up he was greeted with a sight he definitely did not expect to see.
“Nuru?” Varian blinked at his friend, then looked to beside her and saw Yong. “Yong? What is this? Why are you guys—“
“Varian we need you to listen to us.” Nuru had fear in her eyes. “We don’t know how we got here but we’re covered in this stupid goo stuff so we can’t move—“
“Varian?”
Varian blinked, turned around and was put in a headlock. He struggled, but was dragged over anyway.
What confused him the most, was that the voice was Hugo’s.
“Let me go!” He tried to elbow his capturer, but was held tighter.
He squinted his eyes open, and—“Donella? What’re you— I can—I can get—“
“Donella you’re going to choke him let him go!” Hugo shouted, but Varian still didn’t see him.
The woman smiled at him and dropped him, he fell to the floor and coughed until he could breathe straight.
“Don’t you act all high and mighty, Varian.” She placed her foot to his chest. “Did you ever think your little boyfriend might be a liar?”
What? Varian stood up as Donella took her foot off him, he stumbled but kept his back straight.
“Don’t, Donella, please—“
“What’s the fuss?” Donella kept a smile on her face as she walked over to Hugo—completely unharmed Hugo—and pointed at him.
“Why hide the fact that you’re a spy,” Donella giggled as she held up a small glass orb. “Just like us?”
Donella slammed the orb to the ground, and she disappeared.
Varian felt his heart stop as he stood, his back still turned to them all.
“..Varian?” He heard Hugo ask.
All Varian did was turn at him, glare with tears in his eyes, and walk away with a hurt heart, Nuru and Yong in suit.

chapter two
Nico was pretty tuned out of their conversation. He was more focused on staring at Will.
“Yeah, so this is the Big House.” Will shrugged, then looked down at Nico’s hand.
“Hey, I like your bracelets.” Will smiled.
Nico furrowed his brows, looking at his wrist. There was a lot—and they were all from Will in other timelines.
“Thanks.” he murmured.
“You’re unclaimed, right?” Will asked.
“No. I’m a son of Hades.”
Will blinked at him blankly, “huh?”
“I’m a son of Hades.” He raised a brow.
“..right. I’m just gonna..” Will sighed, pointing at the Hades Cabin. “This is cabin thirteen, Hades cabin.”
Nico glanced over the cabin—the exact same one he’s seen for who even knows how many years.
“Okay. Thanks.” Nico mumbled, opening the screen door and closing it, leaving Will behind.
He took a long breath as he sat on his bunk, rubbing a hand over his face and laying on his bed.
It had been a long, long day.
It had been a long 116 tries. Will just won’t stop fucking saving himself, he’s got that stupid need to be a fucking hero.
Nico despised it.
Maybe that was why he loved him so much.
“Jesus, Nico..” he said to himself, running a hand through his hair and clutching a pillow. “What’re you gonna do this time?”

chapter one
Nico used to hurl immediately whenever he turned back time—but after so many times, it only made sense he was so used to it.
He stumbled a bit as he steadied himself against the Big House railing—he didn’t know what time period it was currently, it could be during the Titan War right now, or it could be—
“William Andrew Solace!”
Nico snapped his head toward the voice, and there he was.
The blonde mop of hair, head medic shirt, flannel, and those stupid cargo shorts. Nico watched as his boyfriend ran out of the screen door, Kayla screaming at him.
“Sorry!” Will shouted as he pushed past Nico, Kayla following right after him.
Nico found his heart beating a million miles per hour, Will, his Will.
See, whenever Nico turns back time this weird thing happens. Everyone forgets about him, even though the things he did stay there.
“Oh gods.” Nico muttered. “How am I gonna do this?”
Scratch that. Nico ran a hand through his messy black hair, and then set after Kayla and Will.
———
He found them at the infirmary.
“Will, I’ve already told you not to—“
“Not to overwork myself. I know!” Will groaned as he turned around in his chair.
“Then why did Chiron just tell me and Austin that a Daughter of Demeter found you passed out during Archery practice?” Kayla said sternly, crossing her arms.
Nico knew she was protective of her older brother—especially because Will was always overworking himself.
No matter what timeline.
As the two continued arguing Nico decided he had enough—he needed to save Will, so in order to..
He cleared his throat, and the siblings turned toward him.
“Oh, hey.” Will smiled, and Nico’s heart fluttered a little. “Can I help you?”
“Uhh-…” Nico paused, he didn’t really think it through that much. “No, I’m—I’m new at camp and.. I just wanted directions.”
Kayla looked at Will and then at Nico, who was blushing with embarrassment.
“Will, go help..”
“Nico.”
“Will go help Nico. You need a break anyway.” Kayla patted him on the back as if he wasn’t the head counselor.
Will sat up, smiling at Nico with no distaste at all. “Okay, Nico. Let’s go.”
Nico shivered a bit when Will said his name, because last time he heard it, Will was so.. weak, and hurt.
“Yeah.” Nico muttered.

(bye this is my first time posting a story on tumblr.. this is also on my ao3, maes)
“Will?” Nico found himself turning around at the voice of Kayla, Will’s sister.
Nico’s heart seemed to stop, his eyes widened and his body unmoving. Nico stared as his boyfriend pulled a hand back from his stomach only for Will’s hand to be covered in crimson.
Shit.
“Will? Will—“ Nico surged forward, catching his boyfriend before he could fall.
Will looked at him, Nico was breathing hard and had shaky hands. Will’s expression for the first time was unreadable—it was void of anything.
Until Will gave him a small smile and placed his other hand on Nico’s shoulder.
“It’s okay, Nico.” Will murmured, his voice strained.
Nico didn’t want to break, especially in front of Kayla, Austin, and Lou Ellen. It was the stupidest of reasons this was happening, really.
The gods.
“No, no I can—“ Nico muttered.
“Nico,”
“Will, please! Please, I—“
“Nico. Listen to me.”
Nico looked up at him, his face wet with unwanted tears. This couldn’t happen again, not after so many times.
“I love you, di Angelo.” Will seemed to glow—even at this moment.
“I love you in every universe, Solace.”
“I know.”
“I’ll find you, I’ll save you. I promise.” Nico cried as Will put a hand on his cheek. “They won’t take you again. Never.”
Will just had that look again. His eyes crinkled and he smiled. “Don’t say that, Nico.”
“I love you, Will.”
“And I love you, Nico.”
Nico watched as Will’s body went stiff—then still and then gone. His heart died a little bit more every time.
The one hundred and sixteenth time.
He turned his watch back.
