Mafurui or Mafuemu?

Just a heads up: I am bias to MafuEmu, so this ship may be spoiled a little with 2 separate ideas. Version 2 is below cut because GOD I WROTE A LOT.

Version 1

Child(ren):

MafuEmu would have exactly 3 children, 2 of whom would be adopted from families who had the child taken from them by CPS. With Emu's familial fortunes, their biggest obstacle would 100% be Mafuyu and Emu's mental states. But they'd prove themselves in the end.

Their biological child would look like this, you can fucking fist fight me (if you know the game the design comes from, please remind me of it's name 😭)

Their bio child would be the oldest, and probably also the most unmoved by the sheer chaos of the adoptive aunts and uncles. "Oh, Uncle Rui made a new machine and Uncle Tsukasa tested it? Did he blow up again or was it not a trap?" Her name would be Yuuki (ゆうき), both as a verbal reference to Mafuyu's Nightcord name (Yuki) and due to the meaning of that specific kanji meaning "gentle hope". Emu would have suggested it with the approval of Mafuyu.

The first adopted child would probably be very much like Emu. To where Emu is instantly aware if she's masking with a smile and probably panic about how to get her out of the habit. Energetic and bubbly, they would ask if she wants to change her name, and with a yes, they'd change it to Awayuki (泡雪), meaning Bubble Snow in this specific instance. She's be tall, like Mafuyu, outgrowing all her family.

Their only son would be named Hiroki (広喜), essentially translating to large joy with that kanji pair. He would be a lot like Mafuyu, mostly with a hard struggle to express emotions properly. But he would still be verbally able to express joy and everything beautifully. Probably the shortest, just barely a few centimeters shorter than Emu. Absolutely the type of person to look you dead in the eye as he describes the details of the meal you made him while forgetting to blink.

Headcanons:

Emu, during the first few months of being a mother to Awayuki, would have breakdowns because she would see herself in the child a lot. Mafuyu would take approach in steps. "Can I hold you? Yes? Okay. *holds* Can I kiss your forehead? Not now? Alright. Can I sing to you?" and so on.

The first time they all had a meal out, someone tried to comment on Yuuki and Awayuki. Mafuyu startled everyone around them by 100% speaking the exact same words at the exact same time as Hiroki as they told off the onlookers. Emu nearly had a panic attack because of how unsettling it was. As well as had to explain the whole thing to the two of them.

Mafuyu has a list of rules for Rui, Taukasa and Mizuki to follow in their house and while taking care of their kids. Most of them are aimed at Rui not exploding things or even joking about it. One is Mizuki can't take them to SEKAI. The last one is only for Tsukasa: "If we get a complaint from the neighbors about noise, you're never coming over again. So keep it down."

Emu hasn't taken the kids to the Wonderland SEKAI, but she has introduced her whole family to the VS of it. Often times, they'll have Kaito and Meiko babysit with Nene, having exported "The World Hasn't Started Yet" onto every electronic in the house (along with a bunch of other songs that are very similar in name and music, and a COVER of the song SEKAI is) so the Virtual Singers can be hop from room to room fast.

When Emu and Mafuyu need a desperate break, they call Honami and Kanade over to babysit and pop over to Empty SEKAI to rest for a while. This is why Mafuyu doesn't take them to the SEKAI.

Version 2

Child(ren):

The two don't have kids, but Emu's job at PXL has evolved into teaching children and a teaching career she adores. Mafuyu focuses of music mostly. The two have one retired service cat and one active service cat, a retired service rabbit and a service ferret.

Emu also actively performs for charities and many other events, all of which end up bending to her rule of "let service cats in or no Otori Emu", on the off hand chance Mafuyu wants to go see the show.

Headcanons:

Mafuyu tends to stay in the house.

People were surprised to hear Emu needed service animals, let alone that she had a rabbit as one at one point and has her active one be a ferret.

Mafuyu and Emu unwind by physical touch and quality time. Mafuyu will braid and clean and mess with Emu's hair, while Emu will then draw with her finger on Mafuyu's hand as they cuddle.

Emu convinces Nene, Mizuki and An all to get her information on how to propose to Mafuyu. What sort of ring Mafuyu would want, where would be best, what sort of gesture... Meanwhile, Mafuyu just gets a ring and asks Ena to get Emu's schedule. Emu only barely manages to beat Mafuyu to the question and the two of them end laughing and enjoying the night.

Mafuyu has and would again thrown a slipper at Rui because he "broke in". (He did not break in, Emu lent him a key because she was going out of town for a day or two with her family and wanted Mafuyu to be checked in on for meal eating.) (Mafuyu did not believe him until Emu told them Rui wasn't lying about the key.)
