As a plus size person, there’s something really comforting and vindicating about the character designs in Dorohedoro???

Like all the main adults are big and beefy and built and they’re portrayed as ATTRACTIVE at the same time. (Both the guys and the girls.)

And the manga started back in 2002!! Which is huge!! Plus size was basically nowhere to be seen in the States (idk about Japan), let alone portrayed as attractive!!!

Growing up as the fat kid, I would have LOVED to find a badass girl inspiration like Nikaido or Noi.

I still have to finish the anime and maybe start the manga, but I just wanted to say that the character design makes me really happy.
