So this is interesting. Not surprised that the PS and XB button colours are the most popular, makes sense. I did think XB's RGBY would be higher than PS's pastel colours, though I suppose the votes for RGBY buttons are spread out across all the four options. Very interesting that NeoGeo was so high though, I'd have thought it would be the least well known!

But it is very odd to me that the highest voted button layout was the Nintendo style with A on the right and B at the bottom, when that's far from the industry standard, and doesn't match the top voted button colours.

So the Mitch quote there...

Mitch's first arc was about his insecurity, specifically his self value. I've always had difficulty letting myself be liked, people saying nice things etc, it often felt undeserved? His story was me trying to work through things like giving yourself permission I guess to be liked, to accept that when people are kind to you, it's actually deserved, that there's nothing at all wrong or selfish with accepting that. Like I knew I meant it when I say similar things about other people, I know I want those feelings to get through. I knew the kinds of things I'd say to someone else, but it's always more difficult to allow that advice to apply to yourself.

Mitch was a fictionalisation of those sorts of feelings, sort of like sorting through them in a safe fictive environment, first cos fictionalising some real feelings hopefully makes for a more engaging character! They say you put some of yourself in what you write. And also because maybe it might help someone else with some of those feelings too?
