"... Manipulated... Emotions taken away...? Sounds like she was... Hypnotized, almost." The officer commented, writing more things down in the notepad.

"Can you identify the girl?" The officer was fairly certain he had seen her face before, but he wouldn't remember where.

Fallen Angel

"Alright. Who was the perpetrator or perpetrators of the crime?" The officer took note for the boy's alarm of his presence. It was common, but the boy was in no danger.

Meanwhile, Emma's PET was being collected as evidence for the battle, and stowed away in a plastic bag to be taken for testing.

“Well, it seems we’re trapped in the city until the Dimensional Area goes down.” The officer commented, writing things down on a notepad. It is then that he approached Dingo, wanting to ask him about it.

“Hello sir. I’d like to ask you and your Navi questions about the incident.” He said, not continuing until he got consent from the duo.

When the handle smacked against his temple, Divine swayed until he fell over, unconscious. The Dimensional Area didn't go down yet, which wasn't a good sign, but at least the immediate threat was over.

When the NetPolice came to the scene, it was a bit hard to explain.

Divine and Emma were handcuffed, former because he was the leader of a criminal organization and the latter because she might still be a danger.

When the emblem on her chest was destroyed, it was like she had regained consciousness. Her eyes were tired and droopy, but they had her familiar light. The armor and sword from the Crossfusion faded as she lied on the ground, wavering somewhere in between unconsciousness and awareness.

Great, with her out of commission and his Crossfusion inaccessible, he had nothing to defend himself, he was in the power of CF Tomahawkman. Unless...

"I'll shoot her if you come any closer!" He pointed his weapon at the helpless girl.

She couldn't move away fast enough; she was too close to CF Tomahawkman. With the kick she was sent to the ground, her face still blank, but it was obvious her Crossfusion wouldn't last for long.

Divine was meanwhile growling; his plan was failing so fast, and it all seemed to go so well at first. Sure, he had to sacrifice Angel to create Seraph Malum, but that was a price he was willing to pay.

Well, even if Seraph's Crossfusion failed, he had a tight hold on her mind.

The blade was knocked from her hands, sent skidding across the pavement and effectively out of her reach. She would fly to it, but that would make her open to attack. So for now, she went for the kickboxing alternative and decided to wail on him.

She spun, bringing her heel to his shoulder in an axe kick. She didn't stop with her assault, as she went in for a punch to his stomach.

"Yes! Beat him merciless!" Divine cheered.

Emma couldn't raise her sword fast enough, so she opted to move away from the blade. So she took a wide step backward. She could never get rid of her natural clumsiness, so the girl lost her balance and fell to the ground. She was stunned, but her sword was at the ready and she showed it as such when she held it towards CF Tomahawkman.

"What are you doing?!" Divine was tugging his hair in frustration. "Get up and do as you're told!"

Emma then spun back to her feet, holding her sword at the ready again.

Emma lifted a sword, blocking his attack and flapping her wings to gain distance. She was more experienced in combat than Piany, whether if it was her previous skill or the brainwashing wasn't clear. She moved into a piercing stance and sped forward, sword in front of her.

"Seraph, disarm him and cancel his Crossfusion! He may be useful for propaganda or ransom purposes." Divine barked at the girl. "And don't let his Navi escape either!

"Yes Divine." She replied monotonously.

Emma showed no sign of response, she just stood there, eyes blank. She wasn't attacking Divine, like she was a tame animal and he was her handler.

"Don't bother. She can only hear commands from my lips. With her extensive mental brainwashing and her combat prowess, Dark Crossfusion has been perfected and she is mine to control. All she needs is a Navi to fuse with and she'll be the unstoppable angel of death: Seraph Malum! I have finally created the ultimate masterpiece! Will God forgive my sins now?!" Divine cackled, beginning the Crossfusion for Emma.

Emma was still emotionless as the light enveloped her. Wings appeared on her back, golden armor replaced her clothes, and her eyes darkened to a deep red.

"Ah. Perfect! Everyone is here!" Divine laughed, holding the gun firmly to her head. "But there's not much for me anymore, anyway. For I have created the perfect solution to humanity's greed: Seraph Malum."

"You're insane." Emma offered boldly, struggling more. "There's no way this 'Seraph' is here."

"Why don't you see for yourself, idol?" Divine sneered. He snapped his fingers, lording his power over her.

With that, Emma's eyes went blank once again, and she lost the autonomy in her voice as she spoke. "Seraph Protocol activated. What are your orders?"

"My name is Divine. I am the leader of Neo Grave, and the world will finally be redeemed for its countless sins! Starting with the NetPolice."

Even as he spoke he was standing outside of the building, chuckling as a he held a gun to a teen's head. She was trying to struggle in a way where she didn't upset him, lest she lose her life. Her violet PET lay on the ground, with the Navi screaming for help.

"Please let me go... I don't want to die." Emma said nervously. Her voice wavered, fear evident in her voice.

"Wait until the Seraph arrives, girl." He pressed it closer to her head, making her gasp in fright.
