Fell Reaper and Fell Geno aren't Lotus's parents because I don't think they'd be abusive.... Like at all. If Fell Sans wouldn't be abusive to his kids, why would Fell Reaper, y'know? Fell Geno, I guess, is more understandable. He might be more neglectful, but idk. Abuse is the stereotype for all Fells and I don't really like it all that much sooooooooo :b

Lotus was originally gonna give Babette (his cat) away but got attached. Before Babette Lotus had a fear of owning animals because he had accidentally killed some of his childhood pets when he couldn't control his powers yet. As a kid, he would forget he had the ability because it wasn't instant death, it would take a while to actually die from his touch. So when he'd cuddle and fall asleep with his pet he would wake up to them lifeless. Lotus makes Babette sleep outside his room in case his magic goes off accidentally (he has more control now that he's older)

That's also why he isn't that big a fan of physical touch that much. When he and Rurik were together he wouldn't cuddle for too long and slept in a different room locked so Rurik couldn't sneakily cuddle

Lotus would be overpowered if he could actually use his magic if it didn't cause harm to him. He takes damage from just about all his more Godly magic due to having a more mortal body. He can only use like a quarter of his abilities, half of them hurt, and the rest would nearly kill him if he tried using them, but that doesn't stop Lotus from practicing his magic.

Lotus is always in some kind of pain, I think that Gods are physically built way differently compared to mortals. Also, because when he was younger his parents de-clawed, de-tailed, and de-fanged him, he has a lot of back pain and hand pain. So he's always gotta push through it. Thankfully he can thug it out but sometimes it's just way too much for him

↑ After Dante came around, though, he was able to help with his... perfume, I think it was? I remembered that Due only let Dante hang around because Dante had a potion or medicine that would help with pain, but made Due sleepy. I like to think Dante plays favorites and made one specifically for pain that would make Lotus less drowsy. Due doesn't get it though because Dante thinks Due is annoying

So I've had this idea for a rlly long time, of Ccino having coffee like ecto, with markings similar to latte art on his back! I'm unsure if was done before , it probably was , but I finally had the motivation to actually draw it out

I made this shipchild in 2023 and kinda missed them so I made a ref finally, I even came up with an entire note worth of lore back in the day

*Outfits apply to both versions like always

Some tiny bit of info:

-Birthday: 11th May (date when I first drew them)

-Monster form was born from foam when Due drank from a cup that had Palette's leftover paint in it. Human is just from IVF... (Or adopted if you want to get different lore)

-Has an ice cream stand, which later turns into an entire shop with breakfast food and sweets

-Big animal lover & free spirit

-Doesn't know how to paint but knows how to make strawberry jam

-Nobody knows if the stars are real or painted on

-Lives with their parents on a boat/camper (especially in summer)

-The human look is based on canon Due's hair color and a mix of his and Palette's eyes (green + blue)

I think this should be my way of making reference sheets. Next up will be their cousin

If you were wondering what Lotus's dream job was it's a Forensic Entomologist, which as you could imagine isn't easy to achieve

Rurik was constantly holding him back. Rurik was constantly getting Lotus side-tracked and tangled in his shenanigans. Rurik ruined Lotus's reputation and made it almost impossible. Lotus totally still could've gone to college and all that but Rurik begged Lotus to optimize what he wanted so they could stay together forever

Which Lotus did, instead of working on being a librarian that would stay in the city with Rurik

Which turned out to be pointless because Rurik ended up signing up for the military when they "broke up"

Lotus does, in fact, live with regret. He wanted to get much more from life and dropped his life's goal, and he expected Rurik to do the same. Y'know like settling down and stop getting in trouble with the law. But y'know, some people just can't change

Is this bonding?

I don't think they regret not sticking together, I think they regret how they were to each other. They miss the kids they knew before
