William is VERY strongly British btw. Hates the US. Wishes he’d left before he got married and got a mortgage and kids and was forced to stay. Definitely forced the kids to learn British accents when they started speaking. The kids have been to Britain ONCE to visit Clara’s parent (they suck btw) and Mike mentioned offhand that he liked the Utah climate better and William genuinely threatened to disown him.

I don’t have the link on me but I can try to find it but I remember seeing this fnaf analysis ages ago we’re in one version of the persons timeline Mike could have been as young as 14 at the time of sister location (you can work at a parents business at pretty much any age exempt from a lot of the usual requirements) and I’m thinking about that yet again today (he was an adult in SL in my au but still) Part of me is like “Oh my god that’s terrible, William sent his child son to go save his sister, and since it would have been right after Evan’s death, he probably did it out of spite for that, probably knowing full well Michael would be “killed”. He had his entire life ripped away from him at such a young age and he spent the rest of his life in agony, probably being shunned by his friends for his twisted form and deciding that he deserved it for what he did to Evan.” The other half of me is like “lmfao they literally had a kid working there? No wonder the Funtimes wanted to kill him, he probably activated their kidnapping programming. He was probably like 6 inches too short for the springlock suit they put him in, no wonder he couldn’t see shit through it. Would he even age or is he a teenager throughout the entire series? Bet William still made him go to school all corpsy looking.”

I think that even before he knew that William was behind it all, Mike would have recurring dreams of killing William since his childhood, and he’d never admit it, but he never really disliked the dreams.

Not enough people acknowledge that Mike should probably have the same ghosty stuff as the missing kids. He’s not brought back to life, he possesses his corpse the same way they possess the animatronics. He can leave his body and wander as a ghost! It might even be involuntary! He can visit dreams! He can probably control smaller objects! He might be able to have his memories influenced the same way a lot of the ghosts ended up (it might also just be because they’re young but it could explain why he kept following William or Henry). Make your local corpse man ghost bustable!

Thinking about fnaf’s dehumanization/objectification themes again…

idk maybe it’s just my personal baggage speaking but damn honestly most things that happen in the lore can be read as an allegory for one thing or another. Worker abuse. Emotional manipulation. Abuse of performers and entertainers. Objectification of loved ones. Objectification of memories/nostalgia and dissociating them from the people involved. Other things I shan’t say because I don’t think it’s an intentional allusion so much as a personal parallel and don’t want it taken the wrong way. Reducing your own worth to a practical value. Stuff.

👻🐇: Cassidy my beloved… sorry your life sucks. So the biggest thing about Cassidy’s death is that William had an “excuse” for all the prior ones. His victims were either Mike’s friends or attendees of Evan’s party, so he could twist it as some sort of payback or attonance. But Cassidy? She was just killed because all the other revivals had had unsatisfactory results and he needed to do another test. She had no connection, she was just a convenience killing. She was also the youngest and since she fought back against William she was killed pretty brutally

⁉️: WAS THAT THE- Ok, so Jeremy is absolutely the bite victim in my au and Mangle the perpetrator. He and Mike were like 17 at the time I think? Mangle had a hardwiring error that made it go haywire during one of the dayshifts, recognizing Michael as the killer (since he looked the most like William). It managed to do some pretty serious damage (a single bite shattered Mike’s arm) before Jeremy tried to but in and the thing bit down on his head, kind of just latching on. Even when they managed to deactivate Mangle, it was still kind of holding him there by the face while he bled out until they dislodged its teeth. Jeremy survived, but he was DEFINITELY messed up by that. I can maybe go more into what the brain damage did to him in another post, but regardless frontal lobe damage doesn’t kill you, but it’s where the “conscious” thinking is centered, and getting a huge hunk of that chewed off definitely isn’t fun.

🕺🎤: Full disclosure? I barely know shit about Security Breach. I know, the most well know of the franchise, the only game lots of people have played. Never played it. But? I do like this idea that Vanessa was at least sort of knowledgeable of what she was getting into with Glitchtrap? Like she had some sort of obsession with William beforehand, and when she was eventually infected with the virus she didn’t really attempt to stop it.

How does your Henry feel about your Michael?

Weirdly complicated relationship but short version Henry likes Mike but he’s kind of shit at showing it.

When Mike was younger, I think Henry was a lot more patient than William with his antics, then ended up shying away from him after ‘83. They had a really weird relationship after that- he was always out of the house when William would abuse Mike, and both of them would deny it and blame it on some accident, and Henry would pretend to believe them. He always sort of knew what was going on, but he’d never actually stick up for Michael unless he actually saw William hurting him. Mike never really blamed Henry, but he quickly stopped trying to rely on him as a support system. It got worse after Charlie died, where Henry would vanish for days or even weeks. It was during one of these absences that Elizabeth went missing.

Time skip to the early 90s when Mike was out of the house, Henry and Michael would see each other at work and met up outside once a month, but they were honestly pretty disconnected.

After Mike became a zombie? He disappeared for about 2 months tracking down William and getting slightly more preserved, then just showed up hiding pretty much his entire body like “hahaha sorry I was super weird and progressively getting sicker before disappearing without a trace” and didn’t really explain to anyone, so that was… weird. I think that when Michael finally broke down and admitted what happened to him Henry comforted him, but prior to that Henry was like “fuck me my sons a raging drug addict isn’t he”

Up until their deaths, they actually stayed in contact and confided in each other. The biggest real scuffle they had was over the whole “hey so what if I killed you and shot your corpse up full of remnant to make you immortal so I don’t have to lose you some day” thing.

💜👨‍👩‍👧‍👦: Oh. Oh god. Um. Not great. (DISCLAIMER: I wrote the lore on William’s childhood a long time ago and may retcon parts of this in the future). William’s early years were pretty happy. He was the second youngest in a family of 6 living out on the English countryside. It was a sort of storybook life for the first few years of his life- I also don’t think William was a “problem child” exactly, but I think he was a bit… off (dead rodents turned up in the yard a bit too frequently and he almost poisoned himself trying to eat a lot of weird bugs). When he was 6 there was a house fire that claimed a lot of his family and left him with minor injuries (and if I haven’t said this before, my William is scared SHITLESS of fire later in life). His oldest brother David took him in, but in grief and with their entire property burned to rubble, things went downhill pretty quickly. They moved to Eastern London, where David got a factor job. I’m not going to go into details just because it’s not something you want to get jumpscared by on an ask, but David… really wasn’t a great caretaker. William ended up as the sort of weird kid in his town. When David was transferred to a higher position in the company and moved them to the US, William (who was 14 at the time) didn’t adjust well. Also keep in mind my William was a very clearly bisexual Indian kid in Mormon Utah during segregation so obviously shit was not great for him there. When he moved out for college, he quickly got a place to stay away from his brother and never really looked back.

🐻🍦: Evan died first. They’re twins in my au, so Elizabeth was actually at the party with him when he died. I think she acted kind of… numb after his death. Thats sort of the thing about her- she doesn’t let herself feel sad about things, and she thinks if she acts happy maybe it’ll cheer other people up, so she only really broke down about it in private. She died almost exactly a year after Evan when she went to the Funtime Circus for a belated party (William spent the day in mourning and didn’t see her on her real birthday).

🛌: It’s Michael! The exact game is set somewhere around fnaf 1 when Evan started trying to torment him through his dreams, but he’d had similar nightmares since before the bite that grew more graphic over time. He has these nightmares when he falls asleep at the pizzeria during his shifts Movie-Mike style.

oh uh also William was like 8 when the Great Smog Of London happened so uh take that as you will I guess
