"Harune" here is actually "dead" or is essentially gone. Instead something else has taken her face and body to lure others into making wishes. As a wish granter herself, it would go unnoticed by others except for the bizarre speech pattern.

Aphelion a wish-granting dragon is the one behind "Harune's" activity, after she had aided a certain space-witch in assassinating the real Harune and taking her heart as payment. Her species are master shapeshifters, changing size and morphology instantaneously and able to forge perfect psychic illusions to mimic the appearance and voices of other people.

There's a sudden burst of smoke as the "illusion" is dispelled, revealing not the feminine "boy" Haruka knows too well, but someone else.

"There, is that better/preferred? I am not this Eri, but someone acquainted. I am [Harune] the memory weaver, if I may introduce/present myself. Surely you can forgive/acquit one for having a little merriment?"

A few pre-packaged snacks and iced tea bottles are brought up to the checkout, counting pretty much all of cost with a few paper bills. Hey, if you go in to someone's store, you might as well try to do business with them, right?
