I had originally thought of doing queer movies with Sam and Max for Pride, but I wasn't sure if I'd have enough movies I both like, have seen priorly, AND fir Sam qnd Max into it. This was one- although I originally liked the title "but I'm a lagomorph".

Bonus art with one I wasn't sure how quite to AU besides Sybil being the lady teacher, celeb Abe, teacher Sam, and reporter Max. Its been too long since I've watched it to really make doodles of it 😅 In & Out

The Birdcage [movie] -works for Sam and Max, but picking a the conservative family balance out their fun would be difficult for me, plus I dont think the geek would quite fit for the son character- they would be there for their dads the WHOLE way.

Some Like It Hot- Sam and Max would do well with the banter, but there are so many characters to balance for an AU. Love the movie to absolute peaces.

To Wong Foo: Thank you for Everything- Sam and Max are a wonderful duo, so adding a third to their trio would be a jump, especially since these three would be together the whole move. And I dont want either of them to get sexually assaulted even if so minor an incident- shes ok in the movie and defends herself but 😱

Nightmare Before Christmas AU

So, Sam and Max go to Sally and Jack Skellington of course.

Soda poppers for Lock, Shock, and Barrel- also known as the Boogie Boys. Lincoln Head for Mayor, Lorne for Dr Finklestein.

Oogie Boogie was more a mystery for me. There's a popular fannon idea that Jack Skellington and Oogie have a history, potentially being exs so I wanted whichever villian I picked for the role to A) fit the evil sewed-together look and B) be someone Max could flirt with.

Lorne fits Dr Finklestein as a know it all, plus imagine Sam and Max's horror if he makes a lady him to push him around- two Lornes would be horrifying to them

And just them being cute

Phantom of the Opera AU for Sam and Max!

For pride, I'm gonna take a media with a main straight ship and make it Gay with Sam and Max!

Do I think in a direct switch that Sam and Max would fit like this in Phantom of the opera? No. More than likely, if it was to mimic the musical...

Lorne would be the Phantom, Sam would either be the back ground dancer or Raoul, and poor Max would be Christine.

The whole song fits so well for like an AI Stone AU where he pines for a physical body to be beside Robotnik with and [second verse feels helpless at not being physically there while just a hologram. So he makes a physical body for Stone-
