Episode 05.06 “Orpheus” Looking for Betas
So we did something a little different than the original plan...
While we still have the framework of the whole season written up, we’ve had some struggles with writing it. That being said, we were struck by a bolt of lightning and out came the episode that started this whole concept in the first place, 05.06 “Orpheus”.
Oh, and its a musical.
Summary: When Julia successfully steals the Lyre of Orpheus from his mother Calliope, Eliot undertakes a monumental journey into the Underworld to find Quentin Coldwater’s soul and bring him home.
It’s completely finished, but we could use some beta readers if anyone is interested.

We haven’t given up. Even though the new season has started, we are still in development on our Alternate Season 5.
We are not watching the new season at this time.
One of our showrunners has needed to take a break from this project for personal reasons, so we will be slow-going, but we’ve nearly finished an episode and have a whole season charted ahead.
Stay tuned.

Progress Report: Coming Soon
For a mix of reasons, we went on a brief hiatus from this project. I am happy to announce that we are back at it. The hope is that our first couple of episodes will be out by January.
We've spent a lot of time hashing out the season long plots and working on developing our Questers.
We're so excited to share this with you, so please stay tuned!

Update!
Hello lovely Fillorians!
We just wanted to update you all on the delay, the progress, etc.
Never fear, we’re still working. We attended SDCC this past week and had some revelations there about our season and had some much-needed closure for our feelings about The Magicians as a whole. We (the showrunners) have decided to completely finish the break-up with Season 5 of The Magicians that will be airing for the time being and will only consider this our Season 5.
The hiatus extension was in part because we got very busy, but it also came because we needed to take time for our health, but we’re feeling great and ready to charge forward.
Episode 05.01 is well on its way and we’ve got a big season planned ahead (trust me, it’s all over my wall in my house). We absolutely cannot wait to share it with you.
So what we want to know from all of you is what would you wish for in Season 5? What do you want to know from us? Our asks are open and we’re accepting wish-lists and questions any time.
Hang tight, Fillorians, we’re coming at you soon.
Thank you for being patient and make sure you check out the two-part rewrite of the Season 4 finale, 04.13 No Better to Be Safe Than Sorry and 04.14 The Seam.

Because so many things happen during the finale that we wanted to expand upon, we decided to split what was originally one episode into two. This is part one of two of the revision of the original episode, 04.13 "The Seam".
Always gotta be a fucking twist.
