The war is extending. Also, Israel has not stopped its genocidal massacres in Gaza, nor has the stifling siege, the lie about aid, and the trap of American-Israeli aid distribution points... they are death traps.

Aang’s character arc is like if Zuko was like hey I don’t have my firebending anymore like he did in canon

except they never did anything about it and the show was like it’s fine you can just use swords from here on out not a problem

and he still just accepts the agni kai against Azula you know a firebending duel

and then Zuko wins it because Azula happened to shove him into a pillar and he magically has his firebending back without learning anything about firebending from the dragons like the origin or meaning behind it

and then instead of Katara using a literal physical chain to restrain her, Zuko is like actually I got this super magic rope from a giant frog when we were flying over the ocean we can use to bind her

and then he still becomes firelord after all that bullshit and everyone acts like that was a great way to end his character arc

You don’t have to like Mai-ko, but saying it was one sided (meaning only Mai liked Zuko and not the other way around) is just plain incorrect. Mai-ko isn’t a perfect relationship, but it’s clear Zuko liked Mai as much as she liked him. When Sokka mentioned the “gloomy girl who sighs a lot” Zuko smiled, clearly indicating that he indeed likes Mai. He also said with a smile in the Boiling Rock prison that Mai didn’t need any protection, clearly showing an appreciation for her. Mai-ko is definitely an acquired taste, and I get how their dynamic can be off putting to people, but there’s clear proof that Zuko indeed likes Mai back. Their relationship wasn’t as well crafted as others in the show, but saying that Mai-ko is one sided is just factually incorrect.

Just because Bryke shoehorned in a couple of positive reaction shots of Zuko in regards to Mai, doesn't mean he liked her. He could have been laughing about the description sokka gave her, and seeing as he left her in prison and proceeded to forget her for the rest of the series, I would put more money on my interpretation that Zuko liked Mai because he thought he was supposed to. Which is something he and Katara have in common.

I might go a step further. Maiko is no-sidef. Zuko is with Mai because he thinks he's supposed to be. Mai "likes" the version of Zuko she made up in her head and she's not all that interested in who he actually is.
