Ive been watching Common Side Effects again and again and again for like 6 days straight and have to honestly say that it's become maybe even my alltime favourite show

I binged it alone but also with friends and my mother, and every rewatch i notice more and more things and ask more and more questions, my main ones regarding the mushroom, aswell as the little white fellas and the portal Tons of Spoilers for Common Side Effects under here, i'd recommend first watching the show tbh!!

So we all know before the Show even started, Marshall took one of the Mushrooms, the Blue Angel, to survive the plane crash he was involved in in the first attempt to take his life

like Cecily said, he dies like a cockroach, which i am glad of

Watching the show and the effect the Blue Angel has one everyone has made me question, considering the side effects you get doesn't depend on the quantity of mushrooms you eat. Like Frances only had 1 in the entire first season, yet somehow Marshall was still able to communicate with her through the Portal. Do the mushrooms side effects only depend on how long ago you ate it? Would explain it for John(the car crash guy), you could also say that depending how many you took, the time the side effects take to take effect gets shortened depending on how many you eat, like what happened with Jonas. Would it make sense with the other characters tho? Not exactly, considering Marshall has taken them the longest technically, but only started getting side effects in episode 7.

Also side note, the Portal it has looked similar for almost everyone we've seen it from, Does the way it looks like depend on the mental state of the person? Does it depend on the choices they made? Would explain why Jonas' is completely dead and dark, and why Marshalls is full of green fields and blue skies. Would that mean Hildy wasn't always the way she is now? Considering her's also looked peaceful?

Now regarding the little fellas? They're able to manipulate the real world for the person that sees them in some sort of way, like in Episode 10, when Marshall is driving to upside down elephants rock. He falls asleep on the wheel and wakes up again because one of the lil guys turned on the ice cream truck music. Either they have some sort of way to manipulate real life, which wouldn't be too farfetched with what happened with Marshall and Frances communicating using the Portal, or are they only psychologically able to do that, like playing the music inside of Marshalls head?

I think its smart to make a separate pinned post here considering it doesn't update on this blog when i change the pinned on my main lol Soooo Hello everyone, im Magier, you might know me from @magier-knows-da-wae which is my main blog This is one of my 2 side blogs, the one that im gonna use to just yap about random interests i have, be it shows, movies, music, games or anything else really, i got a ton so it'll be a lot of different stuff

A short list of interests - anything Minecraft Roleplay (most of it being german) and animation - old sci-fi, crime or mystery shows (also newer ones but only rarely) - most things horror related (especially SCP's) - videos games like Stardew Valley or Portal

there are so many interests lingering around in my brain that i physically cannot speak of them without having my head explode in a mixture of every interest combined like what do you mean theres minecraft roleplay, now theres fucking rick and morty? actually kinda ironic that a few hours after this post he went live and told us what happened im not gonna disclose it here for reasons but he's okay

Have you guys ever gone to check on a content creator you enjoyed only to find out they just completely vanished? Like a guy i watched a lot named Raszius just straight up deleted his youtube, twitch channel, twitter and cleared out his instagram and also renamed it. There was no announcement anywhere and i haven't been able to find anything that would hint to what happened.

No luck asking anyone from the community as it was so small that i straight up didnt know anyone other than a few people from twitch chat, his friends have also mostly stopped doing anything content related and none of them have used their social media since 2023 so no luck there either.

I could technically try to ask myself, due to him having accepted my message request on insta a few months ago because i wanted to ask him something, but i doubt i'll get a response
