Looooove the fact that Snow’s obsessive projecting about Lucy Gray is what tips Haymitch off (figuring out Snow must know about District 12) and catalyzes Katniss (leads to the personal tension which drives Katniss finally to rebel). Lucy Gray! Her business was not done

Everyone’s like yeah yeah Katniss is just like Haymitch, but listen Catching Fire? Peeta’s painting the games. Literally a poster. He’s like my favorite color? Sunset. Haymitch, obsessed with sunrise. Peeta is like you guys have your secret little code and I hate it! Which, fair, but the reason Haymitch isn’t communicating with Peeta is because they are on the exact same page anyways. They are thinking alike. Peeta was like I want to protect Katniss and Haymitch two time protector of Louella/Lou Lou the girl Katniss reminds him of is like yes ok. And this time we are *getting her out.* He doesn’t need to coach Peeta cause as soon as he finds out Peeta’s the poster painter lover boy he knows exactly what Peeta’s going to be doing. Peeta’s the one getting carried away and saying vauguely seditious things in public and having Plutarch Heavensbee immediately materializes

Katniss on the other hand? Does the same thing with Coriolanus Snow. She is able to hit his nerves so bad because she’s playing his game but figuring out how to make the right choices he didn’t make, right under his nose because he’s busy projecting Lucy Gray on to her and being mad about that
