Retribution stares the Emperor down, and its’ form is two tired, brown eyes.

A newly acquired staff rests over her shoulders, arms slung over it as if it were a baseball bat. Her witch costume casts a bigger shadow than the young girl had ever managed before- a harsh stance telegraphing clearly that any fear, or sadness, or guilt that could have been used against her in another life have all been extinguished, replaced by rage.

“Don’t you know when to quit, old man?!” She practically screams at him. “You’re falling apart- you have no power over anyone anymore- there’s NO WAY IN HELL YOU’D BE ABLE TO PULL OFF ANOTHER DRAINING SPELL! WHAT IS IT!? WHAT DO YOU WANT?!”

IT    WAS    INFURIATING...    not    being    able    to    walk    properly    in    a    body.    hunter    was    a    good    vessel,    but    --    eyes    narrow    at    the    FELLOW    HUMAN.    (    did    he    even    have    the    right    to    call    himself    that    ?    he    wasn't    sure.    )    how    everything    crumbled    at    her    HANDS,    yet    she    forgets    her    place.    

❝        you    really    think    you're    clever    aren't    you    ?        ❞    he    speaks,    his    energy    too    far    gone    to    keep    up    ANY    APPEARANCES.    he    was    running    out    of    time    --    he    could    still    turn    the    tables.    all    he    needed    to    do    was    reunite    with    the    collector.

It’s always about the Palismen, and at first, Hunter had been fine with it. It’s his duty to carry out his uncle’s wishes. But now, thinking of Flapjack hiding up in his room. Thinking of what his uncle would do if he found him. Of what he’d make Hunter do.

           “ N-no, I don’t want to fail but… but isn’t there anything else the Titan could want? I- I mean, Palismen are alive. Isn’t it… cruel? ” Oh actually, on second thought, this was a bad idea. This was a horrible stupid idea, and he’s going to blame that stupid human for his sudden change of heart. 

belos    was    just    about    to    further    dismiss    the    grimwalker    in    front    of    him    and    resume    tending    to    his    duties,    but    –    the    teenager    continued    to    LINGER.    to    speak.    utter    words    of    atrocities    that    belos    has    sent    to    their    demise    for    LESS.    but    time    was    running    out    and    he    had    PLANS    for    hunter…    so    his    patience    was    falling    rather    THIN    with    him.
