For all intents and purposes, these things are not "real". They might be real to me, or real to you, but they are not something that can be proven.

Hopepunk Zine #1

Omg it's here!!!!

I'm pretty freaking proud of this, not gonna lie. Also, my first zine!!! Ever! I learned a lot, it was a lot of fun, and part two is already in the works xD

It is the Zine version of my Hopepunk post series. Minus the magic, because that will be getting their own zine. I also added some fun things like a playlist, and poetry. (I also drew the cover myself!)

There is a "Reading" version, which is in order for ease of reading. And a "Printable" version, which is not in order, but when printed will form an A5 sized zine. Cover is separate so can be made in any colour you want! I hosted it on both itch and drive so you can pick

I've been going deeper into demonolatry lately like studying CBoD and everything and it has been very interesting

Apparently, Dukante wrote down a lot of twin demons in his hierarchies, who can also be seen as a 'darker side' to the 'lighter' / 'more fun side'

and the dynamics are interesting to think about like f.e:

Asmodeus (Lust) vs Amducious (Destruction)

chasing desires too much can lead to destruction and is the darker side of being ambitious and focused on the short-term

Mammon (Wealth) vs Ammon (Domination)

the wealthy often dominate society and sometimes people think domination is the only way to move on up

Lucifer (Rebellion) vs Lucifuge Rofocale (Control)

Lucifer is all about free will and breaking free, he is the Lightbringer. Lucifuge Rofocale is about commanding control - whether this is outside or inside yourself, he is He who flees from the light

I'm a big supporter of "the gods love you, regardless of how much you're able to do to worship them", but at the same time, it's difficult to forge a relationship with any deity (or even other people) if you don't allow yourself to be known by them. If you don't have moments of vulnerability, moments of silliness, moments of small joy even, then it's difficult to forge relationships or take them to a deeper level. Loving gods (or even other people) can be a scary thing for some people (hell, it was for me), but if you don't allow your heart to be exposed, even just a little, then you're not going to get back as much as you're hoping to.

Anything that's worth anything in life is going to require some level of risk, as terrifying as that feels sometimes, and in my opinion, having a deeper connection with a deity is one of those things that's worth the risk.

My point isn't that we aren't loved by the gods if we don't do a ritual everyday or pray every hour; my point here is that we cannot deepen our bonds if we aren't willing to dip more than just our toes into our deity relationships. Love your gods, and know that you are loved, but they can't really help you if you won't let them in, you know?

In the witchcraft community we talk about witch's ladders a lot but y'all are seriously sleeping on the potential paper chains have. Yes the ones you made in Kindergarten.

For example, I just did a protection spell for myself and my community by making a paper chain from recycled local newspaper and some light sigilwork on each loop. You could do all sorts of workings with paper chains by changing the material, using color correspondences, sigils, etc.

🌌 🎲 How to use an Astrology Dice (Astrodice)?

Astrology Dice is a little-known divination tool. Similar to other dice divination methods, but with a twist 🌪!

It consists of a set of 3 dice with 12 sides. Each die is based on one of the three principles of astrology. Each of these die encompasses different symbols and meanings to be interpreted once cast together:

🏠 Houses: Represents the area of life that will be affected or of concern;

✨ Signs: Represents the emotions involved in this situation;

🪐 Planets: Represents the actions, circumstances, or influences that affect the overall situation at hand.

Sometimes, though, you may need to associate a die with a different role. So, be playful when considering the meanings of the dice.

Astrology Dice is an intuitive tool. Hence, listen to your inner guide and trust it to tell you what you need to know.

What to ask an Astrology Dice (Astrodice)?

It's essential to notice that the querent needs to ask open-ended questions, similar to how we consult the Tarot.

Examples of how to use an Astrology Dice (Astrodice):

Let's hypothesize that you're thinking about a family member's turbulent relationship with a spouse.

Astrology Dice Example 1: What should I know about my family member's relationship?

After you roll the Astrodice, you see Jupiter (Blue Die) in the 10th House (Purple Die) in Scorpio (Green Die).

Since Jupiter symbolizes optimism, abundance, luck, spiritual growth, and sympathy, the first die seems like an excellent start to a difficult situation.

The second die, the 10th House, represents personal wealth, glory, and improving your reputation.

The Astrology Dice is an excellent complement to Tarot readings.

The third die, Scorpio, displays power-grabbing, firm ideals, secret emotions, and transformative abilities.

You can interpret the three dice as an optimistic prediction of a possible future. It may mean that the troubled spouse is happy about mending their relationships.

They're willing to change to improve their reputation and transform into an honorable person.

Astrology Dice Example 2: What can I expect from my future spouse?

Suppose you are asking questions about people, such as a description of your future spouse. In that case, you should be interpreting the result as if it's a natal chart placement. Here is an example:

5th House (5), Leo, Neptune: The future spouse is popular or potentially famous. There's a possibility that they are known for their artistic pursuits or idealistic and dreamy personality. They may be a natural with children, but perhaps a bit child-like themselves. Potential negative traits they'd have would be immaturity or egotism.

Astrology Dice Example 3: What is in store for me in the next week?

You can also interpret the dice one by one if that's easier for you. Here is another example:

10H - Your work and public reputation will be in focus in the next week.

Aries - This is potentially a new job or career that will evoke a sense of drive, passion, or even chaos. If this is referring to a person, it may be your boss. Otherwise, you will be stepping into a more demanding role.

Jupiter - Blessings or expansion are involved. Considering how Aries showed up in this reading, you may be receiving a promotion as it represents newness.

In re. to whether or not your astral travel experiences are real, my take is just about the same it is for all magic, which is that if it's a utility you know it's real because it's working.

Nothing at all wrong using astral travel/spirit flight (etc) just to hang out, or even purely for entertainment. You can truly have a ton of fun.

But if the question is "is this really happening" then my answer is, is it giving you the results you want?

Am I really trancing out? -> Is it easier for you to engage in the magical or spiritual work you're trying to accomplish?

Am I really astral traveling? -> Are you obtaining actionable information that deepens your practice?

Am I really raising energy? -> Are things happening around you that are most easily explained by the energetic changes you're attempting?

It's not always so clean cut. Ok, you're not ""astral traveling,"" you're actually deep in a proximal daydream but the spirits use that altered state to send you important messages.

I think it's a cart before the horse thing... the point isn't astral travel, the point is getting what you want; as long as you're getting what you want I don't know if it matters as much what it's called, all the way up until that deeper understanding is required for further development. Like... huh, maybe it's never been astral travel, maybe I've been running parallel to channeling this whole time and my next step isn't OOBE, it's full body possession.

You know?

I think it's good to understand what you're doing but it can be hard to gain the data to truly define things until you've been doing it for a while. The labels should describe the experience; they should not define your goals. Is what I think.
