The Evolution of Modern Graphics Processing
Modern graphics processing comes from many sources, the evolution of the desktop to portable notebooks, from vector graphics to 2D and 3D and from the Internet to the printing process. The evolution of modern graphics processing goes from the first use of integrated circuits in the early 1970's to the widespread adoption of the Mac and PCs, then the more affordable personal computer and its high-end graphics system, the i-series. The evolution of modern graphics processing is also traced in the creation of software tools and hardware devices such as graphic cards, graphic processors and LCD monitors.
Graphic design or graphical programming can be broadly classified into two main branches: computer aided design and manual programming. Computer aided design involves developing and managing a set of images which are then placed in a database, usually in an electronic format. The images can be arranged in various formats to make them more attractive and more readily searchable. They are then brought together in the form of a finished product, usually in vector form to ensure that they are easily editable by the end-user.
Manual programming involves creating graphics which are then transferred into a program to be executed. This program is usually an application that can be used on a personal computer or some type of printer for print-outs. The program will perform tasks such as resizing and adding text to the image, as well as applying effects such as filters, gradients and backgrounds.
In the past, the two styles of graphics were often used together, but as the technology evolved over the years they began to evolve on different levels, leading to the separation between the two. While computer-aided design has evolved substantially, there are still some elements of hand-crafted graphics that are retained, and this is reflected in the way that these types of graphics are used today.
The development of digital photography has given rise to the production of stunning imagery. Photographs and paintings have been transformed into digital files. These images can then be altered using a wide range of photo editing software tools, often resulting in images that are far more lifelike than what could have been achieved with a traditional film camera. Digital photography has also opened the door for a new era in the creation of video images, especially in the form of film-quality animation. More Details letáky a produktové katalógy
All of these aspects of contemporary graphics have led to the development of new multimedia tools. These include web-based applications that can be used in conjunction with a computer, such as game software and word processors. and the creation of CD ROM multimedia programs. These programs have been designed for the purpose of providing a means of communicating with users on a network, such as a local network or through the Internet.
