Hi. As I'm sure you can tell, I no longer use this blog (with exception to promoting Croak because it's great). I do update my Instagram whenever I make some art, so check that out/follow it @mak_illustration. There, uh, there aren't a lot of actual illustrations...

Check out this webcomic. I love the art style, and the story is cool so far as well. So yeah, if you see this, go support this awesome person!

Doodle for the maybe good song I made for a class called Clockwork Flower, because everything I make must have a title or I'll go mad.

These are just some sketches done before my portfolio assessment at OCAD U. I was sitting outside, waiting to go in, and decided to add to my sketchbook. It bean with the woman in the coat, and then I noticed the sparrows. #sparrows

Requested drawings from two kids I know. It's a bishop from a cool chess set I played on with one of them, and the other is an off-kitten. Honestly, it could just be me, but people younger than myself tend to be really cool. It's especially fun when they're pretty chill and are kind of nerdy as well. Like the chess kid. She also beat me fair and square, so either she's really smart or I'm a terrible strategist. Probably both.

Death of a Salesman - A Piece of Fruit. The final copy. A mix of inks, brush pens (I love them), and pencil crayon. This is based off of a scene in act two of the play of the same name. It's basically all about obsolescence, even though that's kind of a minor theme during the whole thing. If you're wondering why Willy is part tape recorder, watch the play or see the movie (with Dustan Hoffman, who I based the design on.) because it's pretty great/good. Kind of sad. But good, I suppose. #deathofasalesman

Death of a Salesman - design sketch. So this is the sketch of the good copy. Personally, this looks a little better than the inked copy. #deathofasalesman

More process work. I actually peeled an orange, or mandarin if you'd like, to do the one on the right. And I really did draw a tiny face on it. #deathofasalesman #oranges

Death of a Salesman - process sketches. For my Death of a Salesman illustration, this is some of the process work. I feel I got some of the feel of Dustan Hoffman's Wily in the sketch on the left. #deathofasalesman

Darkfall - just, like, plain ol' pen. I drew this based on a short song I'm making. At the time of posting this, I have the piano down and bass, just need to decide on what the guitar will play like.
