Nadia reached out and nudged Mal’s hand. “At least consider the plan. And if it all goes wrong-“
"Alina gets a new bracelet,” finished Zoya.
I scowled. “How about I slice you open and see how your bones fit?”
Zoya fluffed her hair. “I bet they’re just as gorgeous as the rest of me.”
This adorable little robot is designed to make sure its photosynthesising passenger is well taken care of. It moves towards brighter light if it needs, or hides in the shade to keep cool. When in the light, it rotates to make sure the plant gets plenty of light. It even likes to play with humans.
Oh, and apparently, it gets antsy when it’s thirsty.
The robot is actually an art project called “Sharing Human Technology with Plants” by a roboticist named Sun Tianqi. It’s made from a modified version of a Vincross HEXA robot, and in his own words, it’s purpose is “to explore the relationship between living beings and robots.”
I feel like this chapter is being difficult because it’s a turning point between the first arc which was (mainly) concentrated on Semele’s process of grief and the second arc which is something else.
the trope of the last chapter was “screw destiny” and it’s a hard one to follow.
you would be happy (or not?) to know that this means we are officialy near the end of this overgrown baby. like, srsly, it was supposed to be my way to let this character out of my head and now look at this child- she is almost done working through the five stages of grief!
Wow that took long!
Sorry about that... real life got very much in the way of writing. the good news is that many of my real life projects are going great. the bad news is that it leaves less time for writing.but I did write a new chapter!

Look at my baby. She looks so happy in that suit, about to prosecute Orestes using the Athenian legal system. She’s vengance personified and she’ll bring you to justice.
