Starting off with some older projects, a wooden fey mask! ✨ This was made for a moth fey character I played about 2 years ago.

This was made from ~7mm eva foam sheet, scraps of a lace top for the eye holes, and an elastic band. I painted this wood texture and add various scrapes and cuts to make it look well worn and quite amateurly made.

The mask was made by the character as a way to cover their face from the sun after they randomly found themselves in the middle of a forest with no memories.

The general design was inspired by hollow knight character design. I love the way the heads are simple but very unique.

If I were to remake this I would 1) add more realistic wear and tear with sandpaper to add to the wood carved vibe. 2) get a longer piece of elastic so it doesn't smush so much when I wear it. 3) attach the elastic better, I made this a week before the event and just hot glued it to the back and of course it broke during the event 🫠 we live and repeat the same mistakes we made learn.

I also have a cloak/wings for this character! So that's what I'll post about next! Lemme know what you think about the mask.
