◜  𝐈𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐒 𝐒𝐇𝐀𝐏𝐄 𝐏𝐀𝐂𝐊 𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐏𝐈𝐑𝐄𝐃 𝐁𝐘 𝐎𝐋𝐃 𝐓𝐔𝐌𝐁𝐋𝐑 𝐋𝐀𝐘𝐎𝐔𝐓   ,,  ❀  

i think i'm not the only person who's experiencing some strangeness because of the recent tumblr changes. some consider leaving, but i, as someone who has passed through several platforms & considers this place, still, the best of them, have long considered ways to make our experience a little easier & more comfortable. i decided to test & use this icon ‘layout’ that simules the old one we were used to. please, read the guidelines below:

about the pack :

      ❥   the pack contains 6 psd files  ( three with 3 left bars & 3 with just one bar )       ❥   the dimensions of the icons are 70x70, 80x80 and 100x100.       ❥   on all the files, you find a ‘shape’, 3 ‘bars’ & a ‘folder’ layers:

the bars are literally the grey bars, i suggest you don’t change it unless you have experience with photoshop.

the ‘shape’ is where you’ll put your icons. put them above this layer, right click and select ‘clipping mask’ to put them inside the shape.

if you want to use a psd, put all it inside the folder at the top of the layers.

files with ‘wb’ at the end of the name means ‘without bar’, the files illustrated in the second column of the image.

important points :

the files with just one bar doesn’t really have a bar╼╼when you post it, it will just fit the gray left bar the now disappears when your post is reblogged with a icon/image & will look like, on old dashboard, with no bar at all. naturally, the files with three bars actually have only two, since the first bar is to fill the blockquote's natural bar.

𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐒 𝐈𝐒 𝐒𝐓𝐑𝐈𝐂𝐓𝐋𝐘 𝐈𝐌𝐏𝐎𝐑𝐓𝐀𝐍𝐓: do not place your icon on the end of your post. based on what I could see from the new tumblr interface, if you put an icon/image at the end of your post and someone reblogs it, it will create a sidebar that will unite both posts. place your icon at any place at your post except for the final area.

I finally have the opportunity to start this blog. I wish I had done it before, and I know that probably the recent changes to tumblr might interfere with my plans, but... at the same time, I think it might be a chance to give roleplayers in that community a chance to feel more comfortable with their icons, posts & stuff in general. I’m currently accepting commissions  ( please check the FAQ and pricing pages )  , but I also plan to release some content for free. If possible, please share this blog with your friends & partners, this pandemic has really been terrible and I am trying to make some money. ♥
