imagine thinking Sakura is treated well overall in both the game and the fans when she’s literally called The Missing Link and Ogre in the games and barely gets any shining moment past her suicide, and whom the fans largely ignore unless they can play up the “brute samurai who’s a girl” bit. and who’s also constantly being shown with lighter skin than she actually has (remember, she was intended to be a black woman originally. and they call her things like Missing Link in the game.) Do you not pay attention or does that kind of underhanded (in the “she looks like a man/missing link” case just straight up overt) bigotry just slide under ur radar??? This isn’t starting discourse btw if y’all are sensitive enough that reading this makes you uncomfortable you may have some self examination to do!!

imagine just constantly talking about an installment you actively dislike of a series instead of just. not doing that. If you think all the characters were written badly and you don’t like the game as much as the others, why are you focusing on it?? dude just move on to the shit you actually like instead of pretending you understand the series better than the people who have actually found things to enjoy abt it. this is abt people who talk primarily about THH despite hating it (with the exception of Ishimaru and Mondo for some reason? although these people usually think they were the Worst Treated Characters) and liking SDR2 and DRV3 more. Like I think every single one of these games has bad writing and problems but I think there’s good things abt them in each installment. I also don’t really prefer SDR2 or DRV3 but instead of talking about how bad they are (I don’t think this but as a hypothetical) I just. Shut my mouth. I leave it alone. It’s that easy folks!

fun fact: this is apparently bc Leon and Sayaka were the first two characters designed for DR and so Leon was the Placeholder Protagonist until they filled in the other characters

Kyoko was planned to have a scene where she cut her hair, because the character designer couldn’t decide if he liked her better with longer or shorter hair. In the end, it stayed long and he felt it balanced her out with Sayaka.
