Help a Homeless Trans Woman to Afford to go to the EBT Office Three Cities Away and Also Buy New Clothes
February 14th 2025
Tumblr media
Hey, it's Thistle Ishtar Daggers-Drawn, your local trans do-gooder and witch do-better. I live in a homeless squatter town in Southern California where I do community self-service 🏴
Lately it's been hard to get food and my EBT card is needing to be renewed, which can only be done three towns away. I need $30 to hire a Slab Cab (local driver) to take me there, which is also the town where new clothes would be cheap.
I've been wearing the same clothes for a month and I really need a couple new outfits. It's only about $40 for a two changes of pants and shirts and some fresh socks.
Please help me raise $70 to get my life together a little better.

Thank you for your continued support!

Journalists interrupt and berate Blinken on Gaza policy.
Several journalists who are outspoken critics of US support for Israel loudly lambasted US Secretary of State Antony Blinken over the war on Gaza on Thursday, repeatedly interrupting his final press conference as he sought to defend his handling of the 15-month-old war.
“Criminal! Why aren’t you in The Hague,” shouted Sam Husseini, an independent journalist and longtime critic of Washington’s approach to the world, before being physically dragged outside of the briefing room.
“Why did you keep the bombs flowing when we had a deal in May?” Max Blumenthal, editor of the Grayzone, an outlet that strongly criticizes many aspects of US foreign policy, called out to Blinken before being escorted out.

Some of the Olive trees that currently still grow and bear fruit in occupied Palestine are thousands of years old.
This olive tree is nearly 5000 years old and has witnessed more war and bloodshed than any of us. In the Garden of Gethsemane, on the Mount of Olives, at the edge of Jerusalem, trees still grow that were there when Jesus wept.

seeing so many people outright refuse to even reblog any fundraisers under the assumption that they Might Be A Scam and then getting aggressive about it and saying people are stupid is so disheartening. I would rather share 4 "scams" and 1 real fundraiser than deny help to any one person who actually really needs it. Not ideal, but better than the alternative. Why does kindness make you so upset man. What's going on

if anyone is trying to donate to help in Gaza through orgs, these ones were just banned by the Israeli government with no reason given and can no longer operate in Gaza (at least for now).
these are the orgs: Palestinian Australian New Zealand Medical Association, Glia Project, Palestinian American Bridge, PalMed, Baitulmaal, FAJR, Palestinian American Medical Association, Palestinian Children’s Relief Fund
from what i’ve been told by people who have been working in/coordinating aid in Gaza, Palestinian Red Crescent Society, World Central Kitchen, and Anera are unaffected by this order, but everyone has been limited in what they can bring in. while the middle two aren’t medical orgs, they have been bringing in some medicine. PRCS is a red cross affiliate providing medical care.
(not trying to sway anyone’s donations but wanted to put this out there since PCRF has been the org i’ve recommended several people donate to previously.)

DON'T SCROLL!!! I KNOW EVENTUALLY I WILL DIE BUT KINDLY READ, DONATE AND SHARE IF POSSIBLE.YOU CAN STILL EXTEND MY LIFESPAN
I am SALMA,I had been diagnosed with Latent Autoimmune Diabetes at a tender age, a condition that demanded a delicate balance of insulin, a commodity scarce in Khan Yunis, Gaza.
As conflict raged around me, have struggled to find the insulin I desperately needed to survive. With medical supplies scarce and hospitals overwhelmed, obtaining medication became a daily battle fraught with danger.
One day, as the bombs fell closer to Gaza tents,my insulin supply ran out completely. With no pharmacies open and no aid reaching my area, I faced a life-threatening dilemma. Without insulin, my blood sugar levels soared, threatening to send me into a coma.I I'm here begging for your support to help me get insulin.Every donation, no matter the size, will make a meaningful impact in my life. I sincerely appreciate your consideration and am grateful for any support you can extend during this challenging time.
I have managed to receive $107/$365. Kindly help me reach my goal please 🖤
BALANCE ($258)
Below is my donation link.Do not underestimate your donation it is a lifesaving to me.Kindly come through for me and save my life from going to coma.
