😭💔 Im so saddened and angered to see one of my favourite shop signs in Valletta - THE OWL STATIONERY in Archbishop Str. smashed and lost forever due to negligence by some construction workers who were working on-site. I absolutely love that there are still signs like this one in Valletta. I also love that this sign is above a restaurant that I really enjoy frequenting. The NANI - All for music light box sign lives above the @trabuxubistro restaurant, which was once Nani music store, which I remember looking through the window of when I was a kid. 🤩 . . Was recently sent this image of VINCENT GRECH IRONMONGERY STORE, bearing a near-identical shop sign to that of Rabat’s JOSEPH CIAPPARA IRONMONGERY STORE. My guess would be that these were both commissioned to the same sign-writer by the British Paints Ltd that were both stockings of.
