one thing about me is i LOVE lotr ocs. i love carefully crafted lorefriendly ocs with little to no connection to the main story. i love self insert isekai ocs from the modern world who kiss aragorn and legolas. i love lotro ocs with their millions of oc friends with their varying levels of connection to the main story. i love lotr ocs i think everyone should feel such a wonderfully personal connection to middle earth

Also from an outside perspective the ending of the Gundabad main quest is so funny. Durin and his buddy of indeterminate nationality talk to a goblin at length, rob the opposing commander, go down into a mysterious hole together, and then when they come out Durin calls Dwarrowmoot, announces that he is in fact That Durin, actually, and produces a weird beardless stranger who he refuses to name and to whom he has given their last best hope against the actual dragon terrorizing them. Which he refuses to explain. The dragon shows up uninvited and claims to have influenced Durin, a well-known ability possessed by most dragons, to which he replies, "Yeah that didn't happen, lol," and then said dragon runs with her tail between her legs upon seeing the Beardless Weirdo, who then proceeds to kill the enemy commander and beat the snot out of the dragon before disappearing forever, never to be seen or heard from again. Also Durin is just suddenly completely cool with the Zhelruka and their claim to Gundabad, something that offended him deeply not two days ago.
