🚨Between dying from hunger and dying from bombing... My daughter has no escape... 😢

I am Manal, a mother from Gaza, not only living under bombing and fear, and the death that steals lives without mercy... I live every moment watching my little daughter, Swar, who is only a year and a half old, crying from hunger 🥺, and I can do nothing...

She hasn't eaten anything for 24 hours. The gunfire around us never stops, but her crying amidst it all is what broke me... Her eyes, her tears, her hunger made me feel like I can't go on, I can't be a mother, I can't even stay alive.

After an endless struggle, all I managed to get was one cup of milk... like a sip of life in a sea of death.

One can of baby formula - costs $30 - has become a dream... I can only get it if a miracle happens.

This is not just hunger - we live under siege, under oppression, under deliberate starvation. We are dying slowly and our children are turning into shadows of fear and hunger. As a mother, I am not asking for anything for myself... but my little daughter... she is too small to be patient, too small to say "I am hungry" except with her tears...

Help me buy a can of milk... that's all I need now. Maybe she'll survive... Maybe she won't die... Maybe she'll live another day... 🌸

I don't know what to do💔

Endless nights of crying and screaming, and repeated pleas: "I don't want to die, I don't want to disappear." 😭😭😭⚰️⚰️

Basma, the flower of my life, suddenly withered. I no longer see anything in her eyes except shadows of sadness and despair. 😭💔

Every word that comes out of her lips is like a knife stabbing me in the heart. 💔💔

I tried with all my strength to plant hope in her, to remind her of all the beautiful moments we lived together, but all my attempts failed.

I feel completely helpless.

All I could do was make her raise her head while she remained sad without a single word coming out of her🔇😭

I am the one who needs someone to comfort and support me, so how can I be a support for my daughter when she is in this miserable state? I feel so guilty. 😭💔

I always wonder: Where did I go wrong? What did I do or not do? I think I lost the ability to help her, and I became completely helpless.

I cry every night, and pray to God to get her out of this darkness, and to bring back her laughter and joy. 🫂

🚨How do I explain to my daughter that this is not the life she deserves?

💔 Basma no longer smiles...

My little girl, Basma, is no longer the same... She no longer plays, laughs, or sings her favorite songs. Since the war on Gaza intensified, she has been drowning in prolonged silence, her eyes filled with more fear and sadness than her small heart can bear.

My daughter, Basma, suffers from severe depression. She no longer sleeps well, cries frequently for no reason, trembles at the slightest sudden sound, and lives in a world filled with nightmares and painful memories. The war has not only destroyed homes; it has also destroyed innocent little lives whose only sin was that they were born here.

My little girl, Basma, just wanted to go outside and play...

She thought the world outside would be kinder than the sounds of bombing.

She didn’t know that even the air in Gaza is poisoned with danger.

Minutes later, they brought her back to me, with a piece of shrapnel lodged in her tiny cheek.

Imagine waking up each day not to the sound of an alarm clock, but to the sound of bombing. Imagine hunger becoming your children's companion, instead of toys and laughter. This is not a nightmare... it's our reality in Gaza for over 70 days now.

I'm writing this from an unbearable reality. I still can't believe how many people around the world have begun treating what's happening here as normal. The protests have faded, the attention has vanished, as if Gaza no longer exists on the map of suffering.

For more than 70 days, no aid has been allowed in. People here are literally starving. The situation is indescribable. Families are collapsing, children are weakening, and hope is being drained.

The hardest part is watching children completely lose their childhoods. No schools, no safety, no food. Only fear, bombing, and hunger. And yet, we hold on to hope. We believe our children will endure, will survive, and will be okay someday if only this genocide stops.

I'm a mother of four, struggling every day to provide the most basic needs a bite of food to ease their hunger.
