sometimes I like to imagine how wyrm foresight worked because I don't really think it was as straight forward as see everything ever otherwise pale king would've KNOWN

I like to imagine it's vague visions of the future

example: pale king only views the mental torment radiance induces on bugs that resist infections and views hallownest's ruins then has to figure out wtf to do from then

also I like to imagine it's less of a magical thing and more of a wyrms are surprisingly good at predictions like that

another thing is I headcanon it's passed down onto hornet as she's the only living offspring

maybe she sees visions of ghost in the black egg before the initial greenpath fight so she's aggressive but then views shit like the abyss climb and such then slowly changes her mind? vessels are dead as fuck so I can't do a cool headcanon like that

I've come to make an announcement

the pale king is a bitchass motherfucker and i WILL kick him like a football (the european one)

this isn't gonna be about The Abyss Incident™ but rather that i'm deadass sure he was just plotting to get rid of the radiance from day 1. maybe even the other higher beings.

chat the reincarnation is real. anyways gonna propose a theory here. so First Sun reiterations are 100% damicelle, cliernon, and venus. but First Moon? I've seen people saying *Hei* is the dreamwild moon iteration which like. no??

"In aspect of the Ancient Moon" There's the temprocal symbol in the moon, and the far left figure is probablyyyy mercury. *No Hei*. The arcsprite and goutha are there instead (also nic but that's another conversation)!!!! what do goutha and mercury have in common? lotsa sleeping. i can only presume that just. all arcsprites are moon reiterations since goutha takes over after defeating the arcsprite.

who the freak is hei then ?! ok well. this mmmight be a stretch but there's the sun, the moon, but what if there were stars? it's the next best space thing minus planets, but all beings become planets with karma. annnnddd who happens to be associated with stars. fun family/caldmen four. possibly hei and the family are iterations of eachother? but what about dashbored? the lips. easily the lips. so, there just happens to be godlike, destructive entities in all the games and you're telling me i shouldnt think they're related?? cmonn. anyways yap over byeeee updated the slideshow btw

had this thought for like a krillion years but never did end up making a post about it

so uhm. the hollow knight. notable thing about it is the big ass fucking size and i never understood how people consider this to be a mystery

vessels have shown to be capable of repairing their shells via soul so i dont think it would be outlandish to assume they could maybe grow their shells still using soul

the pure vessel has shown to be capable of *some* form of focus (and it has to have had absorbed the radiance SOMEHOW) and given it was 'raised and trained' supposedly in the white palace which not only had 2 higher beings both capable of soul magic but also a likely infinite amount of soul when considering both the kingsoul charm and the infinite soul reserves within the path of pain (though the latter was likely created AFTER sealing the hollow knight, it's still worth mentioning) so uhm yeah

i think the pure vessel grew via focus, specifically growing its shell using the soul from the white palace. vessels are also oddly good at absorption? like ghost absorbs basically all of the powerups so that could explain why its not only their shell that grew but also their shade

something something hk something something self hate topics

i LOVE how hollow knight explores themes of self hate with like you know The Hollow Knight probably 5 minutes after they're born they're immediately given crazy responsibility by becoming The vessel and saving everyone from the infection and i like to think at some point they realized they're not cut out for this but went along with it to get the Pale King's approval considering their scrapped dreamnail dialogue in the godhome fight

something else that goes unnoticed often (i think not even the WIKI mentions) is that. the hollow knight knows hallownest is ruined and blames themself for it.

(this is the lore tablet RIGHT NEXT to the boss arena)

back to the real world fight scrapped dialogue you can see that they don't think of themself too fondly and kind of envy the knight?? i think that's how that's supposed to be interpreted??

also even if this is scrapped dialogue i think it still works. like the hollow knight is still actively trying to kill themself midfight so at least some of it should apply
