I love how because SEGA doesn’t allow romance in sonic stories, when Ian Flynn was asked about the relationship between Tangle and Whisper, his response was basically “and they were ROOMMATES!”

So I’ve seen some discussion on how Loona probably had at least one ‘bad family’, either her birth family or one she was previously adopted by, before being taken in by Blitzo, which would tie into her attachment to Blitzo.

Now I am certainly in FULL agreement with this theory, in fact I think Loona’s specific ‘bad family’ experience has even already been foreshadowed by her whole ‘this kid probably sets dogs on fire’ spiel in Murder Family. Remember that we are currently 2 for 2 on seemingly innocuous bits of dialogue from that episode actually hinting at major character backstory and trauma.

However, I’ve ALSO got a couple ideas that could take this theory even further, and make things more interesting, as well as MORE traumatic and angsty for our favorite goth hellhound.

What if Loona not only had at least a bad experiences with abusive, neglectful or otherwise shitty families, but also a genuinely good family that ended BADLY?

Specifically, a bad ending that LOONA herself was responsible for because she couldn’t trust or believe that they actually cared for her.

As in, by this point Loona had already been burned (figuratively and even literally) so badly by previous family experiences that she couldn’t believe or trust that these people really DID care for and wanted to love her.

To the point where Loona deliberately destroyed her relationship with this family. Either by simply running away, lashing out, or even outright destroying the family in some way. However it happened, Loona wound up back at the orphanage, and only later realized that those people truly DID care, and what she had lost by burning that bridge.

Which is why Loona sticks with Blitzo, even if she’s probably fully capable of fending for herself now, and even if Blitzo, in her own words “fucks up, like ALL the time”. Because she knows that he still genuinely cares, and she DOESN’T want to lose that again.

Which in turn would allow Loona to provide an extremely interesting perspective on OCTAVIA’s current conflict with her own father. As in, perhaps Loona doesn’t push Octavia to necessarily forgive or accept her father for his mistakes, but rather simply to not cut her father out of her life. As well as helping to show Octavia just how little her mother cares for her by comparison.

Because at this point, Loona is VERY familiar with the difference between abusive parents and caring parents, and knows what it’s like to burn bridges with both. And she does NOT recommend doing the latter.

And one OTHER theory that would really cement Loona as actually having the MOST fucked up backstory of the I.M.P. family; you know how Loona is both a parallel and foil to Blitzo in many ways? Well I think it’s very likely that these similarities AND contrasts extend to their backstories/childhoods as well.

For example: What if, much like Blitzo, Loona also lost a family to a fire.

Except UNLIKE Blitzo, this was a fire that Loona DELIBERATELY started.

Perhaps it was the family who burned her. Or maybe it was the family she was CONVINCED would burn her…

Most people are expecting Loona to simply be a poor, innocent victim. Personally, I think it’s WAY more interesting if Loona has ALSO made some mistakes and done some fucked up shit herself.

OK, because ya'll need to hear it.

THERE WAS NOTHING OZZIE COULD HAVE DONE IN THAT TRIAL. Nothing. Zip. Zilch. Nada. "Oh, but Foxxe, he could have spoken up!" Bee did! And she was instantly brushed off and shut up. She barely got so much as an acknowledgement. Vassago did! And he was also shut down. Hard. He got more of a say then Bee did, likely because he was taken more seriously than the silly, childish Sin of Gluttony, but still no one even pretended to listen to him. Moxxie did. Blitz himself did. Did none of you hear what Blitz said at the end? Because he was right and it was true. Satan was never going to listen to anyone. Maybe, maybe if they'd managed to vote in a proper trial, he would have been forced to, but the rational people in the room lost the vote. The only reason Stolas got heard was because he made such a big scene, made himself impossible to ignore- and was the point of the trial in the first place. "Oh, but Foxxe, the crystal!" Cool, cool. So that means nothing. No, really. The crystal means fuck all. Even if this trial weren't rigged, even if anyone was willing to listen, even if people actually thought Blitz had done something wrong and didn't just not give a shit- Blitz still acquired his means to earth illegally in the first place. Just because you buy a car years later doesn't unsteal the one you stole in your teens, and it doesn't make that suddenly not illegal. Now, Stolas gave Blitz access to the book, but that's still illegal (apparently) and even if it wasn't, it's pretty clear that's not what he's actually on trial for. He's 'on trial' for supposedly raping, assaulting, manipulating, and stealing from a Goetia. They're making Blitz out to be the monster Stella really is. It's not just about the book, and even if it was, the crystal would not undo the illegal actions taken originally. "Oh, but Foxxe, he could have said something about Striker!!" Oh, right, cool, yeah. But, uh, one question. Why???? It's not like the council thinks Striker is some good-faith high-class excellent beacon of shining morale. They know he's an assassin. He is literally here to get amnesty. What is Ozzie going to say? "Oh, this guy who kills people for a living? He tried to kill my boyfriend!" Um, duh, of course he did, no shit, he's a POS. If anything, that would easily be twisted to make Blitz look like a psychopath who set Striker on Fizz, too. And it would have brought Ozzie's relationship with Fizzie out onto the table, which is a can of worms no one wants to deal with.

Yes, they're open now, but fuck only knows if Satan or any of the other sins know that- and even if they do, it puts Ozzie's words/testimony in nebulous light because Blitz is Fizzie's friend, and Fizzie is Ozzie's lover. Plus, as a 'dirty imp fucker' Ozzie may well dig everyone's hole even deeper and further complicate the situation. Ozzie is flat-out-stated to be the 'weakest and least threatening' of the Sins. Satan is the strongest, save perhaps Luci himself, who isn't fucking there because he's currently in a room buried up to the Goddamn neck in rubber duckies and having a fucking crisis while his people and his domain sort of fall down around his stupid adorable ears. Ozzie's not going to pick a fight he can't win. Because he wouldn't win it. Satan would flatten him and we all fucking know it. Even if he did go scorched earth and just start a Goddamn fight in the courtroom, what does that solve? Precisely nothing. You would, best case scenario, have I.M.P on the run, Ozzie a traitor, and Stolas and Blitz still in their Divorce Era, miserable and alone, now with added Half of Hell on their Heels for extra emotional and mental damage! So, in summation- Ozzie couldn't do jack fucking all in that trial. And to hope that Fizzie hates him, is angry with him, or they break up over this is really small and silly and absolutely does not do justice to the characters- and I'm not even getting into some of the flanderizing bullshit I see saying Ozzie is racist and implying that his relationship with Fizzie isn't as healthy as it seems and it's all about to come to light. I'm not saying Fizz can't be mad. I'm not saying they don't need to talk. I'm not saying it's not traumatic and stressful or doesn't need to be addressed. I'm saying that ultimately Ozzie's hands were fucking tied and that a ten year plus relationship is not a lie that is about to fall apart or crack. And if it does, I'm going to be pretty disappointed in Vivz. (I'll keep loving the show, of course, just be disappointed.) I'm saying that ya'll need to stop acting like Ozzie is an evil, hypocritical, or selfish douchebag for not flinging himself on the pyre pointlessly. I'm saying that while I think it will be addressed, I really think ultimately Fizz is a compassionate, intelligent, empathetic person who will understand why Ozzie couldn't do anything and will be glad the man he loves- the man he loves, ya'll- did not cut off his nose to spite his face.

Replies were open man, just use them. As for that, WHAT evidence? Ozzie had nothing that wouldn't be further damning as bringing up the crystal would just show that Stolas was looking for an out which in context looks VERY BAD for Blitzo, and Bee had jack shit in terms of actual evidence.

It's made EXCESSIVELY clear that Satan has all the real power in the courtroom, both politically and physically. All trying to do "more" would accomplish is getting themselves removed from the equation, making Satan and Mammon the ones with the most influence among the Sins. This is A LOT worse for everyone. So if you're saying they should've done more, you're saying they, when presented the options of A: Do nothing, and at least one person dies and likely becomes a martyr. B: Do something, accomplish nothing, and make everything worse for everyone they care about. Should have picked B. Are you actually dense?

Wow, gotta love stating your bad takes as fact and then preventing replies for discourse. The issue is you fail to realize that the hairdo serves more purpose than "appeal." Whisper's design went through MULTIPLE different ideas before settling on the ponytail and bangs. The entire point is that Whisper's appearance, hairdo included, tells you a LOT about her personality. Do you know what this is called? GOOD CHARACTER DESIGN.

Glad to see I'm not the only one who disliked the whole "human wig on anthrons" look. When I was a kid I actually thought that Mina and Sally and bunny were wearing wigs (looking back Sally was obvious waifu bait and they were clearly trying to go for the "Sexy southern belle" schtick with Bunnie ). Especially Mina since her hair clashed with her fur color

In Mina's case she may well have been wearing a wig given her status as an Idol Singer.

You talked about Mina there like, four times. XD I understand, anon. I was also not into Mina's design as a kid. Especially since they *almost* had the body right... it was the *wig* that they felt like slapping on last minute.

As for Sally and Bunnie, there was really no excuse for the Archie artists to give them the very sexy naked bodies and Lorel hair. By the time that design changed occurred, Amy, Rouge, Cream, Tikal, and Vanilla showcased a much more fantastic idea on how to make the female cast fit into Sonic properly without using the wigs. Something that I still abide by when making my own OCs. Whisper, in a character design standpoint, also has no excuse for her design in this day and age, considering that she draws fur out from the ether to even have the giant peekabang along with the ponytail to begin with.

Which is why I snatched Mina's wig and gave it to Yuki. XD

I’ve noticed a trend in life. The larger a thing is, the more likely it is to be evil. This applies to companies, youtubers, people, and mountains.
