Steve nodded. "I think delivered might be better. We can probably get a lot more done if we're not hanging around in the cafeteria. Seems like I always get trapped talking to someone for an hour." Besides they'd be alone if they didn't go to the cafeteria and that ment more one on one time with Kara. She brought out a sense of calmness in him and he definitely needed that. "I could do pizza or burgers. I think I'm over Thai for awhile." He laughed as they walked up to the door. He pressed his finger against the pad and the door opened. Steve gestured for Kara to go ahead of him and then he followed behind.

He kept silent for a moment as thoughts began to form in his mind. "....I know you're busy ... I am too .... but I was wondering if you had a little time this weekend if you'd might like to go out and do something with me?" He looked at her and smiled. "If you want..."

Kara couldn't help but smile at his words. "Are you sure it's not from punching all those bags all over the gym. Audrey said you and Bucky were having some kinda contest the other day and it was quite a sight." Her cheeks flushed as she thought of Steve working out. It was hard not to like looking at him but what she really liked were the nights that they cuddled on the couch sharing a blanket... well not exactly cuddling but their legs and feet tangled as they set on each side of the couch.

He was so smart and it really made her wonder about him before the serum but she didn't ask, not wanting to bring up anything that might be bad. "You know, that reminds me after we get up there and I get the measurements, you wanna go down to the caf and grab some lunch? It's gonna be a long night... or I can have something delivered. Your choice."

"Well, even I don't have a suit and duty calls, you know I'll have to go." Steve nodded his head matter-of-factly. His suit was fine, though a little tight and Steve wasn't exactly sure if he put on a little extra weight or if he had gained some muscle mass over the last month. He'd bet on the latter considering the super serum regulated his metabolism and he burned off calories very quickly....but you never know.

When Kara bumped into his shoulder, he blushed slightly, realizing that she was flirting with him. He was still kinda bad a reading women no matter how many lessons over beers he had with Bucky. "...Right..." He looked over at Kara and grinned. Their relationship was new and it didn't help the fact that they were both on the awkward side.

He scratched his forehead and chuckled. "A new suit would be great. The design you have his fantasic but I think it needs to expanded a bit in the chest..." He chuckled again. "And no it's not because I've been eating too many coneys."

Kara looked up at Steve, stopping as they were standing in front of the Avengers tower. "You don't really think that there's a possibility of needing another uniform do you? I mean, we just changed the design." Kara shook her head with a smile upon her face. "You know, that means you're gonna have to stay around here for a bit, not go out on missions. Once again spend time here at the Avengers Tower."

She bit her bottom lip, her eyes brightening. "People are going to start to say that you might like being around me." As they started walking again, Kara leaned into him, bumping his shoulder. "I mean, I think they're already saying that though."

kinda low key back after months of not being here. i'm trying to get back into the swing of things but will be slow and selective with replies. all my muses are active and I'm also writing Green Arrow from the DC show if anyone wants him.

A soft moan escaped him when she slipped her tongue into his mouth. He kissed her back, squeezing his arms tighter around her. When they finally parted, he smiled. "Yeah, I don't really care where we go either. I just need some food in my system." He couldn't help but chuckle when she said he looked tired. "Exhausted actually. It's been a long month." An idea came to him just then.

"Instead of going out why don't we have it delivered? We can eat in our room and relax? Watch a movie or tv afterwards .... maybe make out a bit?" He waggled his brows playfully.

Steve walked over to the desk where the team kept a stack of takeout menus from their favorite places. He held two up. "Burgers from the cafe or Thai?"

It was so hard for her to be this close to him and not find herself wrapping both arms around his neck and pulling him back down into her lips. This kiss was different and she couldn't help the longing that flowed through her. As she let her tongue slip through his lips, she was sure there was even a bit of desperation for him, wanting just to stay right there and be close.

Finally pulling back, she let her eyes flutter open and she smiled up at him. "I don't care where we eat. We could just take some food from the cafe and just go back to our room instead of going out. I mean, unless you have your heart set on somewhere to eat. YOu look tired and I haven't slept much since you left either."

He was a little bit tired from all the travel and missions he'd been doing lately but seeing Kara's face light up made all that go away. There would be time to catch up on sleep later. "I'm glad to be home finally. It doesn't look like I'll be called away for the foreseeable future either." He kissed the top of her head and smiled when their eyes met. Of course they both knew that all that could change in an instant but for now he wasn't going to think about it.

Steve rubbed a few small circles on her back. "Great because I'm starved." He couldn't help but smile again. "Anywhere in particular you'd like to go?"

"Hey," Steve smiled as he entered the rec room and saw Kara sitting on the couch. "I was looking for you. I wanted to see what you were up to today. Thought maybe if you weren't busy we could go grab some lunch or something?" He shrugged. "I feel like we haven't spent much time together lately."

Kara sat on the couch, looking at her tablet from Stark Industries trying to figure what she needed to order for R&D that needed to be delivered to the compound. It was complicated at times making sure that things flowed smoothly so that what the Avengers needed were here when it was needed but she was almost finished when she heard Steve coming up.

He'd been on a long mission with the others to find and weed out a few of the last Hydra holdouts and wasn't supposed to be back for a few more days. It must have went better than expected or he wanted to surprise her. She smiled before jumping up and throwing her tablet to the couch behind her.

Her arms wrapped around him and she couldn't help but bury her face into his chest, eyes closing. "I know it's been forever but there's just times that the world needs us to put our wants on hold." She sighed before her face was buried back in his chest, "we knew that when we started this and I'm alright with it. We always come back to each other but to answer, YES, I'd love to get something to eat."

Steven nodded. He actually didn't care when they gave him the serum. They could test it on him tomorrow for all he cared. The pay boost they gave him for agreeing to become a guinea pig was a nice bonus too. Of course, ideally, a serum that he knew was safe and was to do what it was supposed to do would be the best case scenario.

He was just about to excuse himself after she kissed his forehead but she asked him to escort her to dinner and that she liked his hair cut. A cocky grin spread across his face as he looked back at her. "Your date tonight?" A date was even better than being escort. There was probably a list of hot, built agents that would be better suited to take Becca on a dinner date but she chose him and he didn't mind at all. "Well, it just so happens that I'm free tonight," he replied. "I like a bossy lady. I don't mind one bit. I'll try to be on my best behavior but I can't make any promises." He joked and leaned back in his seat. "So where am I escorting you to?"

Becca chuckled at his disappointment and when he said that he might not live that long. "How about this, if it's the last moment and you're going to die, whatever stage it's at, the serum, I'll just give it to you." She shook her head and sighed. "I'm not gonna just let you die like that anyway Steven." She wiggled her fingers in front of him in a silly gesture. She had no intention of not keeping her word in the matters of who he was to become. They'd spent too long working towards this goal and she wouldn't have it ruined by a bad serum or his untimely death.

She shook her head, "of course not. You will get the serum, in due time when it is right and I don't have to worry about something happening to you but... I need an escort for dinner and I have to say, the new haircut you have, I fancy quite a bit." She smiled. "Besides, I like being around you and I'm not about to take someone with me that will just be a bore. That is, unless you'd prefer to sit here and push papers for the rest of the night."

Reaching out her hand, she moved his paperwork away from him and sat on his desk in the spot they'd been in. "I know I'm not the best company at time and I know your boss can be quite a slave driver but I'm sure she will let this one slide so that you can be my date tonight."

Steve was excited to see what the rest of the helicarrier looked like. So far it had been proving to be more marvelous than anything he could even dream up. "Great," he said with a smile as Kara began to lead him around, pointing to different areas as they walked down the hallway. He was told just to ask the computer if he needed to know anything and that was comforting to hear because there was no way he'd be able to remember everything Kara was telling him.

"Your father and Dr. Banner seem to be buddy-buddy with each other." Steve said with a chuckle. He didn't know Tony to well but well enough where he didn't always play nice with others. Banner, however, seemed to be an actual friend. Steve sure as hell knew that Tony didn't think of him as the same way. "After we see what there up to maybe we have time to grab a quick bite in the canteen?" He was hungry could wait if there were more pressing matters to attend to.

A woman agent walked passed them and smiled at Steve and he nodded back. It was weird being treated like a superstar again. He'd never get used to it.

Kara smiled at his question. "I mean, it's got all these things and then others. I have a small lab to work on certain things in there are as well. Plus there's my display for my uniform."

She walked over to a bare wall and motioned for Steve come come with her. Once he was standing next to her she motioned for him to reach up and place his hand on a panel on the wall. Once he did, the wall opened up into another room. In the room, one the wall was his uniform and his shield. It was all nicely displayed and she smiled. "I figured you'd rather it was in your room than in with the other uniforms. Not that anyone is gonna try to steal captain america's shield, it's just, I mean, I figured something happened you'd rather change in here."

As the exited the room, the lights dimmed and the door slid shut. "Come on, I'll show you around the rest of the carrier. Then you'll know where to get food, where cargo is stored just pretty much everything you need to know. Then I guess we should probably go see what my dad's gotten up to. There's no telling with Dr. Banner here how much trouble the two of them can get in."
