I saw your tags on the carl's route art and there's another VN I found that, idk if they're bugs or in the code on purpose but they also have spooky moments that don't save but register as triggered events. So things like silhouettes in the windows in the background show up then disappear on rollback. To me it's not a horror game or doesn't have horror themes unless it's gaslighting the player!

That VN sounds rad. But yeah, to me that's part of the psychological for physiological horror; it's meant to make you unsure if you can trust your senses. It's also something to do with the VN medium melding its mechanics for it's story/theme (ludonarrative harmony?); make proper and full use of the medium y'know
