I know I'm just sensitive but I find it really depressing how fandoms—something which allows us to share our love for a Thing and bond over it—so often morph into a putrid sludge of cliquiness, bullying and sometimes actual stalking and real life harm, just amplifying the worst traits of the people in it

you don't need to establish hierarchies and police what people enjoy and how they express that joy

life's cruel already! you don't have to add more cruelty!
