What do you feel Anderson brings to the role of Dream? I think Jacob brings joy wherever he goes.

this is overstated to death, but I'm sick of americans assuming their politics are universal. and it's really fucking telling with the way the iwtv fandom talks about Assad. seeing people say he's privileged for being south Asian when he's BRITISH-BANGLADESHI is genuinely fucking insane. the ethnic group with the lowest employment rates in the UK? the ethnic group with the lowest hourly pay? the group with the highest rates of illness and disability? the group with the highest rates of poverty in the UK??? I will genuinely lose my mind if I have to hear this again everytime we do the award cycle.
#oh my god yes#I got into it with an american on twitter a few months back#who kept bringing up stats about indian americans (and the stats specifically mentioned hindus!)#as proof that assad is part of some privileged group#how tf is any of that relevant to assad???#as a fucking british bangladeshi muslim??#why is it always usians who feel like they can talk over people from other countries like this?#also particularly annoyed by this rn because a queer discord i'm in has been doing the whole#'you wouldn't have any rights without stonewall' shit again#as if queer people outside of the us were just sitting around twiddling their thumbs waiting for americans to step up#as if homosexuality weren't legalised in my country before the stonewall riots even happened#i'm getting off track here#anyway#despite our many similarities and cultural overlaps (usually in the worst ways lbr)#american politics cannot be perfectly mapped onto british politics#especially when it comes to race and ethnicity and religion#our demographics and our histories are not the same

i designed my silly crash out night heron drawing for a tee! i think around 30 people requested shirts, so i thought i'd try out some print on demand options. i hope some of you will snag one! lots of colours, fits, and sizes to choose from <3
5% of each sale will be donated to the national parks conservation association to help fight against the trump administration's funding cuts and mass ranger layoffs
