yap session but I lowkey wanted Rick Riordan to explore more of camp half-blood rather than introducing camp Jupiter or going to other mythologies.

Yes I'm fully aware that camp Jupiter and camp half-blood are both explored, that characters for both camp have their screen time but I still wished to see more of them before moving on — there are 20 cabins in the camp half-blood by the end of the series and I still think they weren't explored enough

also I dislike the way the Roman and the Greek gods are the same people but at the same time they have their differences; for me it just don't make much sense for them to be so different if they are all the same in the end but that's just a big me thing

anyways I'm still reading the series so maybe that's just a thought that will go away when I finish it all but I wanted to voice this anyway because why not

I was reading Percy Jackson and as consequence started to see fandom stuff more and I'm getting weirdly bored on how percabeth is such a straight ship even tho Percy and Annabeth are clearly bissexual like where did their flavor go?

Castlevania + text post part 4

today I watched the whole Castlevania series for the ninth time, the sixth after the release of the second season of nocturne, and please somebody sedate me before I start my yap session because I have many opinions and most of them are unpopular

I can't be the only person who thought Annette was seriously sidelined the whole of season 2, can I? Neither Richter nor Annette had much to do in the first episodes (except she got a plot-critical quest she ignored until the last moment), but afterwards, between the two of them, Richter was getting all the opportunities to show off.

Then she spent the rest of the season away from the actual events and battles, and her body was possessed by someone who then didn't even participate in the fight (why didn't Sekhmet fight alongside the others??). She was busy fighting what amounted to a crocodile monster as Alucard, Richter and Juste were deciding the fate of the world. Even after she came back she didn't get to do anything; Richter was her brave, powerful knight.

Edouard got very little, too, and his story was completely isolated, but it was entirely his. It was his monster uprising, which he orchestrated because he felt it was right, continuing the revolution even at his lowest. This aspect of Annette's story, kept strong the entirety of the first season, was disregarded in favor of stupid hetero bullshit with Richter, leaving only her (hereditary, naturally) spiritual connection as hers.
