Anyone still thinking about Punch-Out in this Year of Our Lord 2019? I sure am! I took a swing at not just redesigning, but retooling the blond Little Mac clone from Super Punch-Out!! on SNES - Birdie Mac or whatever he's called - into a distinct Punch-Out character.

I know this isn’t much more than some sketches and concepts but... As I seem to be sinking my teeth further into redesigning Pokemon DPPt Characters, I’ve found myself hovering around Team Galactic.

I really REALLY wanted to redesign them. Their outfits made no sense, and Saturn’s cat ears... oh boy. There are some strong contenders here, of course, Commanders Mars, Charon and Cyrus, all fantastic, and the core of the design is great but, yeah I really wanted to try my hand at retooling it.

I’m particularly proud of how Saturn and Jupiter and the sleeker Grunt designs here. I tried to blend the existing idea with, well, actually making them look just that slight bit more like futuristic and sleek space suits.

Maybe soon I’ll design full-bodied outfits for the Commanders.

I appreciate you made Lucas and Dawn look like actual 11 year olds in your redesign, I always imagined them to be around 14 instead because they look older in the game and official artwork.

Honestly, I see them around that age too! It was more happenstance that they came out looking so small. When I get back around to inking that piece I’m probably going to tinker with their proportions.
