Peppers and pets for a spotted dove. Capsaicin, the compound found in pepper plants that give them their spiciness, acts as a chemical irritant for mammals but doesn't affect birds, facilitating seed dispersal (via bird poop).

Shout out to the amazing photographer who loves animals and works to protect them: Sophie Gamand. Please head over to her website and consider supporting her initiatives to help animals by buying a print! I especially love her work with Xoloitzcuintli, or the Mexican hairless dogs.
In Aztec mythology, the dog God Xolotl - created these dogs to accompany us on our earthly travels, and to guide us to Mictlan, the afterlife, over a period of four years...
Sophie has also done work with Chinese crested dogs - in a series call "Prophecy" - which aim to showcase the beauty of these animals, often deemed ugly, and portraying them as shamans, oracles, wonders of the earth.

Absolutely loved the infant Qilins in the new Fantastic Beasts film, The Secret of Dumbledore. Perhaps my favourite magical creature of the entire HP franchise; a three way tie with Fawkes and the Thestrals?
In the meantime...how awesome would it be to make a tapestry with the Qilins embroidered in gold??
