If his approval rating has risen, it's only because of his speech on the war in Ukraine. His rise in popularity is therefore due solely to the rally 'round the flag effect, a phenomenon that prompts people to support their leaders in the face of external threats, in a worrying geopolitical context. Before his speech, he had reached his lowest level of popularity since his first election in 2017 (just 21% popularity). So I think that in a while, his approval rating will drop again. As for this fandom, it's been barely surviving for several years now and I think it will eventually disappear, regardless of his approval rating.
