Have you played HUNTER : The Reckoning 1st edition ?
By White Wolf

You were an ordinary person, a school teacher, a lawyer, a mechanic. An everyday joe until one faithful day you heard a voice in your head, your voice. It was a simple message something along the lines of “TAKE BACK THE NIGHT”. You were visited by an entity from beyond a comprehension, a Messenger that bestows you a vision. You see past the disguises and can see monsters walk among humans and prey upon them. With this vision you are blessed(or cursed) with abilities to fight back and save people from these beasts. You are a Hunter, an Imbued as you now have to juggle between your past life and your new responsibility. But how far are you willing to save innocents? How much of your life are you going to sacrifice? Regular people won’t believe you when you say you see monsters and kill them. How much pain and combat can you witness before you break? How much arguing can you go through with your fellow hunters over which monsters can be saved or destroyed? And how much do you really understand your place as a hunter a world full monsters.
(Poll runner note : The submitter considers Hunter 5th edition to be an entirely different game)

Basically. VTM was huge all throughout the 90’s but now it’s pretty niche unfortunately. Theres still a large player base but it’s not as big as it once was and even then since fifth edition there’s something of a division between the fandom. Not to mention if you think VTM is obscure, you should see how unheard the other World of Darkness and especially Chronicles of Darkness games are. I rarely see people talking about games like Demon: The Fallen, Promethean: The Created, Mummy: The Curse, etc.
sorry is vtm that obscure or is it just thriving here and not everywhere

Disability and VtM
Hello! My name is Meg, and I've been in the fandom for about two years now as a player and more recently a Storyteller. However, I'm also a university student, and I am currently taking a class on how disability and accessibility is portrayed in fictional worlds.
I am currently working on developing a guide for Storytellers and Players alike in presenting disability in VtM. This will include an alternative system to the merits/flaws and derangements systems that VtM has, as well as a guide on how to represent disability in characters with an emphasis on Malkavians, Nosferatu, Caitiff, and Thinbloods.
But I really want to make sure I'm hearing from disabled players while making this guidebook. I have some disablities of my own, but I want to hear from everyone else too! If you have any thoughts on this subject (and especially if you have disabilities yourself) please fill out this form. It'd be a lot of help!

People tend to forget that in World of Darkness, gothic architecture mixed with modern mundane banal grime and building designs is the norm. That gargoyles, massive skyscrapers and catholic arches are just as common as street lights and benches. I think bloodlines did a good job of keeping the aesthetic.

Hell one of my favorite pieces of VTM art comes from the 2e Player’s guide cover by Clyde Caldwell because it captures this aesthetic so well.

Just look at that stone curb, the wrought iron fencing, the overflowing trash cans and white doves as street pigeons. But most importantly, look at the skyline in the back. Those building look more like haunted castles than business offices. I’m not even going to point out the common gothic tropes like the mist and roses but there’s so much this painting conveys about the world down to the side walk.

This is how the buildings in VTMB look.

No, Requiem is considered a separate game all together. It just so happens to share a lot of DNA with its predecessor.
Have you played VAMPIRE THE MASQUERADE ?
By Mark Rein-Hagen

Dark and moody urban fantasy vampires struggle with their inhumanity and deal with faction intrigue.
