“Well, i don’t have a choice right? Since you took my phone, I had to follow you around?” said Chaperone as he followed Gelare to the village core.

Gelare smiled and passed Chaperone his phone.

“You took my wallet last time and you took my phone.” and Chaperone snatched back his phone from Gelare’s hand

“I pick up a call, I think he was Jared.”said Gelare.

{flashback to the call taken by Gelare before she told the truth to Duchess}

“You are Gelara Dora,right? The almost-wife of Chaperone.I knew everything at Draco village. I was the one who asked him to go. And are you two at Shewood village? Is that why Chaperone decided to go there” said Jared

“Decided to go Sherwood village?’ asked Gelare.

“Is it because he knew you would come to Sherwood village, that made him muster the courage to go there?”said Jared.

“Why did he need to muster the courage to come here?”asked Gelare 

“It was the place where his fiancee come from and the place she died..” replied Jared

15. Village core

“No,it could not be possible..” as tears dropped from Duchess’ eyes.

“You could not prove that he committed suicide at all, there is no evidence at all. Eclair superpowers are real. They did not discover any poison in the water jug in Reynerd’s room but only in his body.” snapped Duchess loudly,

“Yes,the poison crystals is just in his body.like the curse had said.” said Eclair

Gelare took out the ziplock bag with the leftover bits of poison crystal from her pocket. “I found it near the hut outside the window.”

{flashback scenes on the night when Reynerd killed himself Gelare forced herself entering to the room }

Reynerd was seen throwing something outside the window and was caught by Gelare.

{current time}

“He should have consumed directly from the ziplock bag itself.Because I came in out of a sudden,he did not have time to dispose of the ziplock bag.And I have been using gloves to hold onto to the bag. There should be only the fingerprints of Eclair and Reynerd only. This should prove that he had committed suicide.”said Gelare.

Duchess realized everything she did was wrong,how she had accused Reynerd of having affair and refused to trust him.But she could not do anything but cry.

{Gelare was seen in the forest}

And Gelare was throwing away the ziplock bag in the forest.

“I thought you said you would never betray your conscience?” said Chaperone.

Gelare was shocked to hear Chaperone’s voice and said,”How do you know I am here?” as she looked around for clues that would have given away her position.

“Are you trying to leave without me?” said Chaperone as he looked over to her luggage.

“There is no reason for us to stick together anymore already.” explained Gelare as she walked away from Chaperone and he tried to catch up with her steps.

“Well, there is a reason,we are old friends right? We always sticked together somehow. In the past, when the kids start avoiding me because our house had bankrupted, you treated me the same and continue to scold me. When I had come back to Draco village,you sticked to me.” said Chaperone

Gelare replied,”No,I sticked to you because I thought I can made use of your officer position that time.”

Chaperone said,”Not because you wanted someone whom you can trusted around?”

Gelare stopped in her tracks,”Today is the birthday of Grand Witch, Duchess still insisted that there is superpowers in the village, she asked me to go the village core. There is a rich family paying to unmask the superpowers of the Grand Witch.”

“Today is the birthday of the Grand Witch, wait isn’t today the birthday of?” said Chaperone with a shock expression.

“Birthday of who? said Gelare

“No ,it just i have known another person with the same birthday too.” said Chaperone as he faded to the background

And the background show a poster with the tittle [Grand Witch’s Birthday],the photo revealed to be Chaperone supposedly’s dead fiancee wearing a village costume.

15.Reynard’s affairs

“No.it was my superpower who had killed Uncle Perth and Reynerd.!” said Eclair as he tried to run away

Chaperone stopped Eclair and said to him,” Duchess should at least know the truth.”

And Chaperone dropped his phone and Gelare picked it up.

{next scene at the ballroom}

Chaperone had pushed both Duchess and Eclair inside the ballroom.

“It is time to show the real miracles happening! I am the real one with superpowers! I have been holding onto my skills.” announced Gelare trying to withstand her sadness by bitting her lips.

“I just want to let Duchess to know the truth and you to stop making use of her idolization of super powers for her to like you.” as she remained with her usual composure and she started to tell the Duchess everything she had known of.

“I had my suspicions when I noticed Reynerd’s love for you. He had known magic tricks himself and he would have easily seen through tricks of Eclair,yet he told you he believed in superpowers.”as she told, recalling Reynerd was telling them at the carnival about dakkji that Duchess taught him how to fold it. She remember the lovingly expression Reynard made when talking about Duchess. And he refuse to sell The Castle because it is a place where he built in Sherwood village for Duchess.

“He hired Uncle Perith and had only male staffs in the kitchen. It was his way of protecting you. So that Uncle Perith could be under his nose, and could not harm you anymore, because he knew that until now you are still being tortured by the unhappy past. And it would be easier to get rid of him if he is working for him.” said Gelare.

“Reynard’s affairs is all fake. He only had eyes for you.” Gelare continued

“No, it could not be possible..” as tears dropped from Duchess’ eyes.

14. Real magician

“The maid mentioned that you known magic tricks to play with the kids in the hotel. You should have long ago uncover the tricks by Eclair. You know there is no superpower in the world. Eclair keep showing his magic tricks to us so that we would be convinced that his superpowers do exist. You know his magic tricks could only be succeeded by distraction. So you two collaborated, he pretended to be the murderer and so Chaperone would only take notice of Eclair to make sure that he is unable to murder. And you pretended to like me,so noone would suspect you will kill Uncle Perth for Duchess.”said Gelare

“Yes, and if I was to be murdered, Duchess would definitely be of highest suspect,so Eclair asked Duchess to find a police to be her alibi. And you was famous at solving supernatural cases. If you are able to be convinced and  prove that the super powers of Eclair to be real, it would not be deemed as a commit suicide case even though i drank the poison myself. Since I hired you, people who think that i did not wanted to kill myself.” said Reynard 

“Please do not tell them i committed suicide.” said Reynard begging Gelare again. “All I wanted is to provide Duchess a good life,and since I am unable to provide her now, at least I can provide her after my death and Eclair would be by her side too.” ,he looked at Gelare with tears in his eyes.

{next day morning with the police surrounding the hut area and Reynard found dead}

Gelare was picking up something with her gloved hands outside the hut as she glanced over the mountain where Uncle Perith died.

“The alcohol consumption. It was too high in the blood despite drinking only beer. You discovered it too right?” said Chaperone.

“Yes. It is impossible to get that much of alcohol content with beer alone. That was I realized maybe someone switched the beer or added something with higher alcohol content. Someone who is able to call Uncle Perith at the beck and call to ask him go mountain at a weird timing. Someone who is able to enter the staff room freely to tamper with the beer. And the person would have easily pushed him down the cliff. And even if the police discovered the body, they would think that he lost his balance in the mountains due to high alcohol content in the body and fall down by accident. Just like what the curse had predicted. However,it was Reynerd who had killed Uncle Perth and commit sucide, not some superpowers.” said Gelare and she maintained firm eye contact with Eclair whom she caught overhearing the conversation.

13. Truth revealed

“I am sorry,I just had to warn you not to drink any water the whole night.”said Gelare.

Reynard smiled in a relief and said “Of course,I am not drinking anything today. Don’t worry.”

“Can I stay with you in the room today?” said Gelare.

Reynard looked at her gently.

“With Chaperone of course.” said Gelare coldly.

{next scene with Reynard admiring the stars outside the window, Chaperone was seen dozing off.}

The clock was going to strike 12.

Gelare was admiring the stars outside the window with Reynard and having deep thoughts

“You killed Uncle Perith right?” asked Gelare.

“Why would I kill Uncle Perith? The guards know I am in this room the whole night.”replied Reynard smiling

“You know exactly when they change their shift,11pm.It would take them 30mins to travel here.There is a period of time where there are noone watching you.This hut is near the staff’s room and the mountain.Everyone has an alibi except for you. We were all fooled by distraction. We are all under the impression that the killer was Duchess or Eclair. You keep flirting with me and trying to pretend that you don’t love Duchess anymore. But the truth was far from it right?” said Gelare.

Chaperone was suddenly awaken by what Gelare had said.

“I should have known it.You are smarter than i thought.” replied Reynard embarassly with his hand scratching his head.

“Have you consume the poison already?” Gelare asked.

“Please don’t let them know that I committed sucide.The poison would be acting at 12am as i calculated. Can you just say that I was being murdered by the curse. If they found out I committed sucide, Duchess would be unable to receive any compensation by the insurance company.” said Reynard holding the hands of Gelare.

And Gelare pulled her hands away from him.

He further continued “My business was totally un-salvageable.Yes,the news from outside is correct.I am going to declare bankruptcy. When my businesses had failed,I quarreled with Duchess so much. And only Eclair was there to comfort her..I felt so much failure as a husband, I only made her to suffer. That was when I remembered that I had bought a insurance long ago with the beneficiator as Duchess if I am dead. And I talked to Eclair because i had known that he was famous as a wizard and had asked him to persuade Duchess to curse me. Soon, he managed to convince Duchess by spreading rumors of me having affair.” said Reynard

“We should have known that you two at cahoots when he know what lunchbox you are going to pick...” said Gelare.

12. Reynard’s death

{next scene was Gelare in Chaperone’s room}

Chaperone was passing the autopsy report to Gelare and all the background reports of Eclair,Duchess and Reynerd. They just needed to solve the case of Uncle Perth to show that the super powers claimed by Eclair was a bluff.

“He had suffered partial liver damage. Most probably because he drink beer every day.”said Chaperone

“Everyday?” asked Gelare

“Yeah. Didn’t you see the staff’s room.It was full of collection of his beer. They said that it is well known he would drink everyday after work”,replied Chaperone and he noticed Gelare was staring hard at the autopsy report.

“Come over quickly! Wizard Eclair is going to make his prediction again soon at the ballroom!” shouted a staff towards Gelare and Chaperone

{Eclair was seen performing his ritual again.}

“His rituals are so noisy and irritating. Why did he had to do all these when it is all fake.” said Gelare, most probably still angry that Eclair had made a fool out of her.

Eclair took out a ziplock bag containing the crystals which seemed like the salt crystals earlier on,and said “This is the real posion,tonight, Reynard would drink and die before 12pm. Just before the deadline.”

{Gelare was outside with Chaperone at the hut where Reynard stayed in.}

“I thought we should be looking over Duchess and Eclair to make sure they don’t do anything to Reynard? Reynard had his own guard to protect him.”said Chaperone playing with the hay, pointing at the guard

Gelare look at the guard and said “The guard had to change shift. But we don’t. We just had to make sure Reynard is safe.” Gelare had observed that from the last time.

“This place is really far away from the hotel.If we walked back, it would take 30mins.” said Chaperone.

“You just wanted to go back and hotel rest right?” asked Gelare

Chaperone looked at her sheepishly and stated “As long as Reynard don’t drink anything the whole night,he would be fine.”

“Yes, he would not drink anything right?” A wave of fear suddenly strike towards Gelare as she looked at the background with the mountain at sight. She suddenly decided to go in the hut and she forced open the door.

“Oh my!” said a flabbergasted Reynard, and behind him was a glass jug placing infront of a window

11. Unmasking

Everyone was not able to react after seeing Eclair seemingly posioned.

Eclair suddenly stood up and said “My acting was quite amazing, those two are not poisoned.”

“DRINK UP THE POSIONED GLASS!” he suddenly shouted,almost making Gelare’s eardrum to burst

“We have made a bet, and you have to drink it!” exclaimed Eclair.

Gelare pretended to remain in her calm composure as Eclair handed over the left glass Gelare had picked.

Gelare was scared but she then sipped onto the glass of water carefully and she stopped.

“It is salty..” said Gelare

“You would be dead if it is real posion..you should have seen your expression on your face. It is salt crystals that i have added.” and Eclair laughed.

{dining room left Chaperone and Gelare.}

Everyone in the hotel seemed to believe in Eclair’s powers.

“There is no such a thing as super powers.You and me ,we know best right?”said Gelare

“Do I look stupid just now?” said Gelare,trying to hide her embarassment.

Chaperone nodded his head, trying to contain his laughter.

Gelare glanced onto the 3 cups and suddenly exclaimed, ”All 3 cups contained salt itself already! What Eclair did,was just adding more salt.So all the 3 cups would tasted salty no matter how i picked.The reason why he drank finish the 2 glasses which I did not pick was to destroy the evidence! Why did I think of it at now only!”

Chaperone paused and added on,”Because he is trying to make you unable to think properly by making use of your fear of death.”

Gelare was on verge of kicking herself.

{next scene with Gelare and Reynard in the garden.}

“Are you more calm now?” said Reynard as he passed tea to Gelare.

She was there to explained what happen to the salty water incident.

“Anyway what I am trying to say is his superpowers are not real, there must be some way that he could kill Uncle Perith. Why would Uncle Perith go to the mountain at such late hours?”Gelare’s voice trailed off as she realised Reynerd was patting her back. Gelare then shifted her position away from his touch.

“Why are you flirting with me you know that there is constant accuse by Duchess that you had affairs with other people and..” said Gelare, stopping her words.

Reynard said “And you liked Chaperone?”

Gelare tried to gain back her composure after hearing that and said.”No, that was not I meant to say.”

“I saw you trying to hold onto him on the verge of death.” Reynard continued.

“He is just an old friend of mine whom i trusted.” said Gelare looking firmly.

10. Water game

“You still don’t believe in my superpowers, keep insisting it was just distraction” said Eclair.

“Why don’t I predict your death next then? If you insist my superpowers is a scam.” Eclair continued with a smile.

Gelare stood up confidently and agreed.

“Soon, if you play a game with me.” said Eclair

He took out a jug of water with 3 glasses.

“I can predict which one you are going to drink. And I will put poison in it to kill you.” as he poured the water into the glasses.

He showed the crystals whom he previously used to predict the death of Uncle Perth.

“This is not just crystals, it is poison.” and he poured the crystals in the glass which is right hand side of Gelare.

“Oh no, you are right-handed so you will pick the right glass? Are you going to say this of me again? I will ask Chaperone to shift the positions of the glasses then.All of us shall not looked at them except for him” said Eclair

Chaperone proceeded to change the positions of the glasses,

And Eclair further asked a hotel staff to shift the positions again without all looking so that Chaperone was not able to give hint of which glass contained the poison.

“So which glass are you going to choose? Left right or middle?” asked Eclair

Gelare then proceeded to observe the glasses of water from far.

Eclair snapped at her “The poison is odorless, tasteless and colorless. If you are looking for bubbles, there is no bubbles too. I am afraid your super observant skills would be useless. Just choose,i already know the glass you choose and it is poisioned already.”

“Well..” Gelare was seen to have a scared expression from her and she was tugging the shirt of Chaperone. The confidence she had earlier was seemed to be gone.

“The middle?.. No..the right one?Erm the left one shall it be” as Gelare said in a unconfident manner.

And Eclair proceeded to put the left glass on a side.

“I knew you would pick the left one, the posioned glass.I would drink the rest of the glasses” and he proceeded to drink up the right glass and middle glass.

Gelare was shocked at how fast Eclair decided to drink the water, why is he so sure that his prediction was correct? Is he superpowers really true?

When he drank finish the middle glass, his eyes widened and was trembling so bad and dropped down to the floor and he was seen struggling for air..

9. The ultimate death

“I didn’t said I curse Reynard.I said I cursed the ones who had done wrongs to Duchess” replied Eclair.

And both Gelare and Chaperone realised something and ran towards the kitchen.

“Have anyone seen Uncle Perith?” asked Chaperone as both of them rushed to the staff’s room later.

And one chef replied he last saw him drinking at around 11pm and the staff’s room and he suddenly went out.

“I think he was heading to the mountain’s direction.”said the chef

And both Chaperone and Gelare walked towards the forest,which was about 30 minutes distance from the hotel on foot and Reynard also had all the staffs looking for Uncle Perth in the mountain.

“AHHHHHHH!” a loud shriek can be heard from the background.

Chaperone and Gelare rushed towards the sound, and they saw a staff pointing  under the cliff which is about 10 storeys high. And Gelare was holding her grip with Chaperone catching onto her, Uncle Perith’s dead body was below..

{next scene with police in the crime scene}

And they told them the stories of how it happened due to curse.

“A curse?” asked the police

“Yes. I am a police myself. We had been outside the room to make sure Reynard and Duchess are not out the whole time.” said Chaperone.

“Then how could they kill them?” asked the police officer.

The forensic doctor had deduced Uncle Perth’s death timing to be at around 12 midnight and there is high alcohol content in his blood.

For now,the death cause was determined to be accident due to falling down off the cliff

{next scene with Chaperone, Gelare and Reynard in dining room}

Three of them are discussing how could Eclair killed someone without leaving the room

Eclair looked at them and laughed confidently with Duchess beside him

“So how could I have killed Uncle Perth without leaving the room. And even the police said it could be an accident. I predicted the time and the venue of his death.I have the superpowers. Oh,y ou could even looked at the CCTV in the hotel to prove that I did not leave the room, just in case both of you think you are dreaming.” and he laughed heartily and tried to turn his back.

“Distraction again. That is your superpower. You said someone who had done wrong to Duchess, and made us all thought that it was Reynard who is to be cursed. Yet, it was Uncle Perith. You made us shifted all the attention to Reynard in order to proceed your plan.” said Gelare.

8.The curse

He proceeded to sit down on a carpet and take out his bowl and immured some chants and throw over some fine crystals on top of the bowl and yet most of them had spilled over the carpet. He closed his eyes and continue to do his chanting.

And Gelare noticed Duchess was looking at Eclair intensely.

Eclair opened his eyes and shouted “TONIGHT AT 12! THE ONE WHO HAD DONE WRONG TO DUCHESS WOULD FALL DOWN ON THE MOUNTAIN BY ACCIDENT TO HIS OWN DEATH!” as he coughed out loud.

All eyes were on Reynerd,and he was giving a confident smile,he seemed to look ready to fight against Elcair and Duchess.

{night time}

The duty was set that Gelare to monitor Eclair and Chaperone to monitor Duchess and the guards would protect Reynard.

“I would be in the faraway hut protected by the guards, you make sure Eclair had no chance to harm me. And Gelare.. take care of yourself too.” and Reynard look at Gelare with his longing eyes.

Gelare just looked at him with surprise.

“Gelare, take care of yourself.” said Chaperone mimmicking Reynard’s words and tone. She seemed lost and still looking at the shadows of Reynard. Chaperone give her a little push and told her to focus on her mission.

“Why is he doing this?” said Gelare.

“He is flirting with you. You are so gullible, he had no money now. He is just doing this so that he don’t have to pay you money after the job had been done.” replied Chaperone.

“No.This is not just it.”said Gelare as she seemed to be deep in thoughts and she suddenly looked at Chaperone.

“Oh yeah.He liked me. And you are just jealous.” said Gelare, pushing back Chaperone.

“There is no use of you monitoring Eclair. Eclair had real superpowers, he is able to kill Reynard without leaving the room but just by curse” said Duchess confidently walking towards them

“You seemed to believe and admire superpowers a lot and admire Eclair alot.”said Gelare.

“We grew up together, Eclair used to be a normal person like me, until two year ago, he had a big illness. And he was being cured by the Grand Witch and was blessed with super power like her. And after which, he had shown me many miracles before.” said  Duchess

She continued,”Everyone is born with certain powers,but with technological advances,there is no need for these powers.People start to lose their powers,escpecially for people who is living in the city.But for us,some luckier ones with longer origins in the village will still have it.Some unlucky people are born to a sad life. Some like Eclair just obtained it later in life,this is why I convinced Reynerd to stay here.”

{at super late night which is about 11.30pm}

“Perharps the reason why Duchess admire Eclair so much,because she wanted to have super power herself to escape the sad fate she had when she was young. And until now, she is still unable to escape the clutches of her dark past” said Chaperone.

Gelare smiled at Chaperone,and agreed with what he had said and she seemingly proud of Chaperone.

Both of them are super sleepy by now and they are just sitting outside and there are also no movement inside.

She also just overheard from the guard who had change shift  at the hallway with another guard saying that Reynard was in the hut and was not out since then.

{Gelare looked over her watch}

It was going to be 12pm already.There are still no movement. And it was soon 1am 2am.. And Gelare asked the guard to check on Reynard in the hut and he replied that he is still sleeping.

And soon they went back to sleep.

{Next day morning}

In the dining hall, Reynard was seen eating breakfast with both Gelare and Chaperone

And soon, Eclair was stretching his arms and said morning to them.

“I had a rough night.It was so tiring to curse the person.”said Eclair

“Reynard is still here,alive and kicking.Why did you say you had cursed him to death.”said Gelare

“I didn’t said I curse Reynard.I said I cursed the ones who had done wrongs to Duchess” replied Eclair.

7.Distraction

They were disturbed by a young and pretty housemaid and ushed them to the ballroom.

“Did you had a great breakfast?” asked the housemaid while walking with them. And Gelare nodded.

“Reynerd was great at cooking too, He used to be a chef and would sometimes cook for the hotel guests. He truely loved this place, he would talk to the guests and made sure they enjoyed their stays and would perform magic tricks for kids to entertain them.” said the maid.

“So,I am sure he is so nice and he is super charming. So he do have some scandals right?” asked Chaperone.

“Oh no. We all know he is married and he is just nice to everyone.” replied the housemaid.

“Yeah. He is just being nice.I hope someone don’t mistaken it.” said Chaperone looking at Gelare.

“I am sorry that I have mistaken then.” said Gelare staring back at Chaperone.

{next scene in the ballroom with rest of the people}

And they bumped onto Eclair with his wizard makeup on in the ballroom,

Eclair seemed to be going towards the mic,annoucing something

“We know that your makeup is just a distraction to focus on what is really important.” announced Gelare,snatching away the mic.

And she revealed what they have discovered about the fork and how Eclair managed to know what lunchbox Reynerd had picked up.

“No, Eclair’s superpowers are real. It is not what you all had said.” said Duchess.

“You all only had assumptions, do you all had evidence to your theories?” said Eclair.

“Why don’t you perform the same thing again. This time we hold the original set of fork after I had picked it then” asked Chaperone.

“I would not do the same thing twice. Let me had a better one. I shall predict the death you all had been waiting for.” said Eclair

6.Fork

Gelare felt a weird stare on her back and turned around and saw Chaperone looking at her with a disappointing face and broke eye contact with her.

{next scene Gelare was in the office room with Reynerd.}

He was playing dakkji alone.And his table was messy and there is accounting documents in red colour. And Reynerd seemed to be in despair and was reliving his stress by playing.

Gelare snatched over his dakkji and asked, “Duchess say your businesses had failed.And you would not be able to pay me”

“It is true.But I still have enough capital to recoup my losses. Don’t worry,I still have enough to pay you.I also had such a big hotel. And i would be making my comeback soon.”replied Reynerd giving her assurance.

But Gelare does not look any convinced at all

{next scene was Chaperone eavesdropping outside the office room.}

“Have you been listening to what we have said?” said Gelare.

“So as long as he is rich,he is able to pay you money. You would help him? What happened to you. You are filthy rich yourself. Why are you betraying your conscience to help him. You heard what Duchess said. He had affairs and had dubious relationships with the girls at work.”said Chaperone

“I had cut all the contacts with Dora family,that had included money. Besides,I only believed what I had seen. His affairs is just a rumor and he is just being nice to people. And believe me, I would never betray myself or anyone for money.” said Gelare firmly and she walked away.

“Is it because you like him then?” shouted Chaperone and Gelare faded onto the background.

{in the morning, Chaperone and Gelare was eating breakfast}

“Are you still holding onto the god-damn fork?” said Gelare looking Chaperone in dismay.

“You saw it? I was just making sure it is really a fork?” said Chaperone as he used the fork to pick up nugget.

“You have been holding it since yesterday and used it for dinner too.” said Gelare as she snatched the fork from Chaperone.

“It looked to me as a normal fork.How could have it turned bigger?”said Gelare examining the fork. Then she recalled the time where Eclair covered Chaperone’s hand with cloth.

“Eclair told me to focus on the fork so I held it tightly. It definately would not have swap the fork. I was holding onto it the whole time.” said Chaperone.

“Good morning people.” and Reynerd came over for breakfast also as Gelare observed him while eating.

Chaperone noticed it and nudged Gelare. and whispered softly to her “Do you liked him so much that you had to look at him so obvious.”

“I think I get it why Eclair is able to predict what lunch box Reynerd would be taking.”said Gelare

{next scene with Chaperone and Gelare in the garden}

“Reynerd is a right handed person.He is very cautious person and is highly alert at all times. It would make total sense that he would pick the lunch box inner right hand side of him. And his wife Duchess would definitely be aware of that and also mention that to Eclair since he said that they are close and she would tell him everything.”said Gelare

As Chaperone recalled he did indeed pick the lunch box inner right hand side, he was having an Eureka moment with the fork pointing towards the sky.

“As for the fork, Eclair keep asked you to focus and hold onto the fork so that he would not be able to swap it. Because what Eclair had swapped was not the fork you holding onto but the plate of forks on the table to a set of smaller ones. So by comparison, the fork you holding was seemed to be larger.” said Gelare as she recalled the cloth that was covering Chaperone’s hand had also covered the plate of fork that was on the table.

5.Fake Riches

Someone appeared and the kids were clapping upon his arrival. It was Eclair with his makeup off and he smiled with a smirk and it revealed to be a young man.

{next scene with Eclair,Reynerd,Duchess,Chaperone and Gelare}

“Do you believe in my power now? You would be dead within 7 days as what i had cursed you before.”said Eclair with a calm and confident tone

“There is no such as thing as super power.You just want to kill me. We all know you had a crush with Duchess since young. You are just hateful that she chose to marry me, not you. Why don’t you live at The Castle these 7 days, so that I can monitor you and you would be unable to kill me. ”said Reynerd as he stared at Eclair.

“As you wished. By the way,the curse was made as to harm people who had done wrong to Duchess,so there is nothing to be afraid if you had done nothing wrong at all.But you did, didn’t you.” said Eclair.

“And I would able to tell you how you would die. But no matter what happen, you cannot be able to win over fate.” Eclair continued with an evil laugh

{Soon,Eclair moved into The Castle. All of them was eating dinner at the dining room in The Castle}

As a middle aged man is serving food, Gelare noticed an uneasy expression on Duchess who is sitting opposite her.

And there is someone to test poison for Reynerd.

“If there is poison in the food,it would not be super power already. And we are all eating the same thing.Right offiicer?” as Eclair looked towards Chaperone.

“How did you know that I am a officer?” replied Chaperone.

Eclair gave a laugh and said Duchess told him everything.

And suddenly Duchess stood up and was trembling hard and said she was not feeling well to eat and walked away with Gelare following her.

{next scene in the corridor with Gelare and Duchess}

“He know what my uncle did to me, yet he hired him as server!” said Duchess in tears.

“Your uncle? The server who was giving a creepy smile to you?” as Gelare patted her back to comfort her.

“Yes. I was born without parents and was being passed around by relatives. When I was young, and when my Aunt was not around,Uncle Perith would..”as she continued to cry.

“Reynerd hired Uncle Perith to torture me. Why did you want to help a scoundrel? Is it because of money? Let me tell you something, his business had suffered badly all over the country. All he had leftover is this hotel, The Castle, which he refused to sell to protect his facade of a being a rich man. And when his business failed, he would quarrel with me to release his anger!” said Duchess angrily.

“There is no 100 million for me if I solve the case?” gasped Gelare.

“He cannot even fend for himself. Or if you helped him because you took a liking of him, just because he is nice to you. You better queue up. A lot of female staffs liked him too. He knew how is Uncle Perith like. He only hired male chefs and male staffs in the kitchen to protect the female staffs. He is super nice to all the girls, you are not special to him.” said Duchess with a calmer tone, trying to gasp her breath.

4.The predictions

“Duchess told me that to win this game, we should put money inside. She taught me how to make a dakkji. This is just a rumor to cheat the rich kids and the poor kids will win and the ddakji would therefore been passed to them. I have often lose money to Duchess because of that.” said Reynerd with a warm smile,recalling the happy times with Duchess.

Little Gelare had lost the game to little Chaperone.

{current scene}

“Yes. We had the same game back in our village. Well,the dakkji with money actually tends to win, but the poor kids would actually practice very hard before to win pocket money.” as Gelare looked over Chaperone and continued speaking, “Return me my dakkji.” and Gelare stretched her hand in front of Chaperone.

Chaperone said he had lost her dakkji to other person and had already used up the money inside.

“I told you to keep it.I would win back.” and she was being stopped as a man who was wearing a black cape caught her attention. He was with Duchess. He had a lot of colourful makeup on his face which seemed to be attention-seeking especially to the kids.

A lot of kids soon was crowding over him.

“Who want to see miracle happening?” said Elcair and soon all the kids were raising their hands.

And Eclair saw Chaperone and said “Let’s have the foreigner to testify the powers of Sherwood village!” and waved Chaperone to come to the stage.

He showed Chaperone a set of forks of  the same size on a plate and asked him choose a fork he like.

“I would make the fork you choose to be longer. Focus on your fork,so that i would not have a chance to swap it” and he smiled creepily and he cover the fork over a cloth and start chanting a lot of weird spells.

The spells made Chaperone irritated so he just decided to focus on holding tightly on the fork and ignored his spells.

The cloth was being removed and Eclair asked him to put back the fork onto the plate and in comparison, the fork had really turned bigger.

All the kids were clapping,and Duchess was looking at Eclair with a admiring look leaving a bewildered Chaperone staring over the fork.

“Not only that, I could also make predictions. Mr Reynerd, you said you don’t believe in my superpowers. I would make you believe it. And the noon, we would have free lunch boxes catered. You would choose the lunch box with your favorite money.” announced Eclair loudly.

They all had made Reynerd be the first one to choose his lunch box because they all wanted to see if Eclair prediction came true or not.

And Reynerd choose his lunchbox carefully and opened it under the eager eyes of everyone. It reveled to be money, just as the predictions of Eclair.

The flustered Reynerd then opened other people lunch boxes and it was all food.

3.Ddakji

“Here is your room and Gelare would be sleeping the room next to me.It would be the best room in this hotel” said Reynerd

“You are not going to sleep in your house?” asked Chaperone.

Reynerd explained that both Duchess and him are going to stay in the hotel for the next 7 days, and he would be under the protection of the guards and also there would be people watching over Duchess to prevent her from killing him.

“She had actually made a curse to kill me by Wizard Eclair, her own best friend.I thought she loved me.But..” said Reynerd as he looked over to Gelare with his big eyes lingered with tears and his light brown hair shined under the sunlight.

Reynerd was indeed good looking and he was charming towards Gelare which probably explained the reason why Duchess accused Reynerd of having affairs.

“But unfortunately, there is no superpowers,at least in this village. Please help me to uncover them.” Reynerd looking at Gelare deeply.

Gelare was seen lost in his eyes and captivated by his good looks said, “They know that we are unable to convict someone who killed people by using super powers. So people are killing under the name of super powers so to escape law.These is very common in the cases I have been handling.No worries,I do my best.”

“Of course, you are the famous detective.” said Reynerd with a flirty smile.

“Can I see Wizard Eclair that had cursed you.He might be the one who is going to kill you instead. We need to watch over him for the 7 days too.” and Gelare while standing up

{next scene at the carnival where Reynerd bring Gelare and Chaperone to see wizard Eclair}

It was the yearly carnival, it is equivalent to the children’s day in the city.

“This is the place where you can find Wizard Eclair. He would be here later making predictions and creating illusions and what-not.” as Reynerd while Gelare and Chaperone was distrupeted by the children.

The children was playing dakkji. A kid had lost the game and passed over his ddakji to the other kid and he was crying and running over to his mum.

“He must have put money in it” said both Gelare and Chaperone.

“Both of you know this game?” asked Reynerd.

2.Gelare Dora

“Welcome to Sherwood village.” as an old servant came out of the door to shake his hands with Chaperone.

And inside the castle, there is a good looking man who seemed to be waiting for their presence and a silhouette of a girl who is very familiar walking towards him and by no surprise,it was Gelare Dora.

“Chaperone?” “Gelare?” spoke both of them at the same time.

“You two know each other?” said Reynerd, the husband of Duchess.

“Yeah. We are from the same village.”said Gelare.

“You must be the police officer whom Duchess engaged to be the witness and I have hired a private detective whom has exposed several cases of fake supernatural powers. She would unmask the fake powers of the village” said Reynerd.

“There is superpowers in our village. We have worshiped and celebrated them for centuries. You are not an native to understand this. But you did witness the miracles created by our wizards and witches. And you did said you believed it before!” said the agonized Duchess.

Reynerd Canis is the castle owner, whom actually is a hotel whom was decorated to be like of castle and named as “The Castle”. He is a self-made entrepreneur, whom had moved from the city to Sherwood village for his wife,a native from Sherwood.

“Where have you been?” whispered Chaperone following the quick steps of Gelare.

“I said before,I am not going to follow a coward.” said Gelare.

“I had tried before,but I told you,there is no evidence left in the crime scene.It was burned with fire..”said Chaperone

“The least you could do is let me go the crime scene. There must be something left. Because you do not want to relive the incident of your fiancee death right?Don’t you find it suspcious that there is not a body?when you saw her dead infront of eyes.”said Gelare with a sigh.

1.Sherwood village

“Why am I here?” as Chaperone glanced over his empty seat. He could be seen on a boat,and a lady was siting over it, interrupting his thoughts.

“Thanks for coming here with me” smiled a refined lady. Her name was Duchess, as her name suggested she was the wife of a rich man in her village.

{Few weeks earlier}

"Hey, is it that your rich wife?” as Jared passed his phone to Chaperone and showed him the news of title {New private detective Gelare Dora on rise to break through multiple mystery cases.}

Jared asked “What happened to you two exactly? Why did you suddenly come back ”

Chaperone just stared on the floor and did not answer as his superior and that same lady whose named was Duchess came to the room.

“Are you officer Chaperone,the one who solved the murder cases in Draco village” asked Duchess

Chaperone nodded his head.

{current time}

Duchess had engaged her friend, which is a wizard to curse her husband to death within a week as she had heard rumors of her husband having affair. And she is asking Chaperone to be her alibi and follow her around to prove that she is not capable of killing her husband within these 7 days, and rather it was the curse which had worked out.

“If anything had happened to him, his death would be blame upon me. They would say the curse is just a cover-up for me to kill him..  You have to be my alibi to prove that i had not killed him ” said Duchess while walking in the forest

“But why these 7 days.” asked Chaperone

“The curse would be strongest before and upon the day of Grand Witch’s birthday”

Chaperone looked at Duchess with a questionable look, ”The Grand Witch?”

“Yeah. The strongest of all witches and wizards in our village. You came from a supernatural village ,you would know that too. That’s why i need to engage your help,others would think I am crazy.” said Duchess as she stopped walking onto a place, who seemed to be a castle

“Welcome to Sherwood village.” as an old servant came out of the door to shake his hands with Chaperone.
