A colony of cats lives deep in the forests of Finland, invisible to those who the spirit of the forest hasn't taken in.

It is said that by following a magpie you can get out of the forest's cover, but why would anyone want to leave the care of the God?

Sorry about this, I know people are probably Sick of seeing non-comic posts from me on here. I might clean up the blog later.

Opening commissions 💖 I know I said I'd never open commissions again but I've run into some issues

Went to the vet today for a checkup of both my cats and it cost £95. So I'm lacking in the money department atm 😭

Also - I was told that my cats have been losing weight (unsure of the cause) so I have to go to the vet *again* on the 17th to get bloodwork done and I'm unsure how much that appointment will be. Dreading finding out. It would be affordable it it were just one of my cats, I need help cuz its Both of them at the same time.

The cats aren't the only ones either - my own health has been acting up lately so I have to go to the doctors too .. mine's free though 🙏

For now I just need some extra money to help me till I next get paid (in a week) - I gotta buy some cat litter and cat food which is fine, the issue is it won't leave me much for *myself* to eat.

Simple + quick doodles like this will be £7.50 GBP (pricing cheap stuff is hard, cause PayPal fees are a bitch)

here’s your girl, syrupstar! absolutely adore the name and i hope i did her a decent amount of justice!

as for your other ask and any ideas….

my bf and i came up with the idea that she’s located somewhere in eastern canada! nearby the great lakes

i think she has to be the protagonist in her own story!! she gives the vibe of “successor in a long line of leaders,” so maybe one of her parents was a leader? could be she has claim to leadership or she’s just seen as being destined for it

she’s a great hunter, especially in autumn (when she blends in with the trees and leaves and other foliage)

she could be somewhat of a prodigy! because of it, maybe cats think she’s the reincarnation of an ancient leader who led the clan to greatness and is destined to once more. her clan could’ve been hit with some kind of tragedy or wave of death that has allowed her to step up. maybe she is the reincarnation, maybe not … could be something she has to grapple with

the ear tufts could be a signature of this; looking like crescent moons, perhaps they indicate renewal and how life is always a circle (ie, reincarnation!). or they could just be a family thing, maybe it’s passed down to every cat with her blood

she could be some kind of oracle, maybe she gets visions shadowsight style… something cool like that fits her

i think her mane became larger as she grew, starting with a few tufts as a kit before becoming what it is now

i have too many ideas :3 anyone feel free to add on!!
