i only really got into the show this past month so i havent been a part of the fandom very long or followed it for very long so i dont have anything special i couldve made or prepared for her day but i did recently start and catch up and i wanted to post something nice for her on her day so;

i havent had her for very long but if anything happened to marinette id kill everyone in this room and then myself

shes just so precious and adorable and i love her so much

she’s so fucking inspiring with how girly and badass and smart and confident and clever and ingenious she is like i love how clever she is with how she made her diary box lock and how she designed her miracle box holder with the sewing supplies and the secret passcode like wow!!! shes so smart!!!!

and i love how we see how strong she is even though she has to struggling with all of the assorted trauma shes been accumulating (like damn i prolly wouldve been a wreck if i was her after chat blanc) i love that she got her moments in s4 where she broke down and it really showed how hard everything is hitting her and affecting her life

im just super attached to her teehee ive said this like nine times already but shes just so!!! so inspiring and adorable and i want to be as strong as her im very excited to see how she’ll grow even more in the future

Top 5 marinetteTM moments ?

You guys just love asking the hard questions man. Mari is my fave character so picking just one is actually killer. In the interest of making it easier I'm picking the scenes where she's Marinette, not Ladybug though that HURTS okay it just means I have a smaller selection to pick from and I can't pick okay

5. The puppeteer 2 scene. Now I understand folks find this cringe but this scene is peak MarinetteTM energy. Like this is exactly how I expect her to act and I love my dramatic disaster child. I laugh so hard every time I see this scene.

4. The marigami scenes in Mr Pigeon 72. This was just so unexpected and I LOVED it because you can see how much she genuinely cares for her friends. How even when she herself is going through a breakup and dealing with her stress and feelings, she is still going to do whatever she can to make the people she loves happy.

I love all their scenes together but nothing will beat the pure joy at seeing Marinette do everything for her friends (even of its not what was best for the situation).

3. Basically the entirety of the Glaciator 2 balcony scene. She's chaos and I love when she gets dramatic and angry. And then the second balcony scene where she was genuine and true about her feelings, and you could see how much she genuinely loves him and I just love that okay

So basically the entire episode really. But this screenshot speaks to me

2. Origin Part 2, where Marinette conquers her fear and becomes Ladybug to do what she does best: help people. I always talk about how much I love anxious Marinette and relate to her, and this right here is my favorite part. It gives me chills because if she can do it, so can I. And I just...I love her okay.

1. Multimouse!!!!! Just everything about this was awesome and I rewatch her transformation scene a million times and she's just so cool and has the ridiculous plans and I think if any episode made me love Marinette it was this one (though all of them do really I just love her a lot okay

First impression

Way way way back in 2016 I saw gifs of this show and was like okay well i'm sad right now might as well and I thought oh I'll just check it out I guess. I think my first impression was like "Oh she's a mess i love her" or something along those lines

MY DISASTER DAUGHTER, I LOVE HER AND WILL PROTECT HER FOREVER

Seriously she's a wonderful main character that I want to root for her and I love that the audience gets to watch her grow and better herself as opposed to being this amazing character right out of the gate. She's heartwarming and sweet and funny and relatable and it's just so nice to see a female superhero kids can look up to and honestly i could write an essay about her dslfhsjkfh

But I guess to shake it up I will include this one I don't think gets mentioned enough: Marinette and her moments with Fei

I know the fandom was disappointed by the lack of love square in the Shanghai special but I thought it was a lot of fun to see how Marinette has this amazing natural talent for leading and guiding people. Like here is a character who likely hadn't felt hope or love or had someone believe in her in ages, and Marinette by virtue of being herself was able to make her feel good again. Fei was miserable and sinking deep into something bad and I think having Marinette show unconditional love and faith in her is one of the reasons I think Marinette is an amazing character to root for, and why I think she is a wonderful fit for Adrien.

Idea for a story

I've been thinking about writing a story where Marinette actually does manage to convince herself Adrien is Hawkmoth and see where that goes in terms of her love for him and her relationship with Chat Noir if she doesn't let him convince her. I find it easier to write from Adrien's pov so I think of stories for him more often than I do for Marientte.

Oh, maybe a memory loss au where adrinette are dating but I think that hurts too much lol

Unpopular opinion

Kinda hard here cause I only surround myself with folks who like Marinette but I guess one is that Marinette being cringy and borderline obsessive (and i use obsessive here in a "teenage girl with an exaggerated crush for comedic effect" way and not as a stalker) makes her more interesting and far more fun and if she wasn't this ridiculous I'd have never gotten so invested in watching her grow (and she has grown signficantly since season 1)

Anxiety/ADHD Marinette my love (thought this is obvious) I also like the headcanon that Marinette didn't have any close friends growing up either, so she starts the series in a similar situation to Adrien.

When Chat Noir first knew that he liked Ladybug the way that he did, he knew there was a lot that he didn’t know about her. And in that discovery, he thought he’d find out just how amazing she is. How infallible and incredible she is.

He was half-right.

Ladybug was many things. Clumsy, witty, quick-thinking. Sometimes her confidence wavered. Sometimes her feet did.

And in that, he knew that she was incredible. In her own perfect way, she was imperfect. Maybe — hopefully — they both were.

He loved cheering her up after she fell, so it’s lucky she fell often.

Sunrise

If Marinette stayed up late enough into the night, Ladybug would occasionally sit on the Eiffel Tower and watch the sunrise.

Some days, it was easy to feel like things were all bad, she’d never defeat Hawk Moth, she’d never be with the person she loved.

Some days, it was difficult to see why she’d even want to. Alya would tell her how she needed to do it so that she’d be ready, come the day.

But it was never about the boy. Choosing to fight is never about the boy.

It’s about seeing the sunrise from the Eiffel Tower.
