Hi guys and new followers!!

Mara here! It’s been a while since I posted anything on this blog but please bear with me. The last couple of months have been pretty busy and I apologize for not being able to update. Hopefully this month I can start posting again.

On another note, I’d like to ask you guys a little favor. I’m going to set up an Etsy shop selling personalized sketches sometime in January of next year but I need to create samples first. Would anyone be interested in getting a free quick ink portrait in exchange for permission to post your portrait on my Etsy shop as a sample?

I mostly need individual photos but couple or group (2-3 people) photos are also welcome. Head shots are preferable. If anyone’s interested, please email me a high resolution file of your photo at mara.louise@ymail.com with “Etsy Sample” as the main subject and please include your mailing address if you want the original sent to you. Also, please indicate in your email that it’s okay for me to post your sketch on my Etsy shop. Credits will be given for the reference of each portrait once it is posted. You do not need to follow this blog to get a free sketch.

Once I finish your samples, I will let you know by email and I will mail them to your address whether you’re in or outside of the US.  I will only be doing these free sketches till the end of December so if you want one or if you know someone who would really like one, please let me know as soon as possible. Question for Fashion Designers out there...

Based on your own experience, what are the top 10 things an aspiring fashion designer should carry with them at all times especially for those going to fashion school?

I’m thinking of doing an animated info graphic about the subject. I’m doing my own research of course but I’d like to hear your own take on it. Credits go to all who wish to share. I hope you guys can spare a minute or two to list some.
