Thoughts about omenkillers
Though I'm a sertified omen sympathizer (I mean, just look at my art), I still find the omenkillers incredibly interesting. Of course, they're undoubtedly one of the most evil factions in the entire er (a game full of evil factions), but there's more reasoning behind their evilness then simple spite, and that's what caught my attention.
You see, omenkillers originate from perfumers, and at some point perfumers unsuccessfully tried to cure the omen (thanks, Rollo&Tricia ashes). Those first omenkillers were probably not the butchers they later became, but healers, so broken by their failure that they genuinely started to believe that death was the only cure and mercy killing was better than the life of suffering their patients have to endure (in this aspect they're not unlike the Frenzied Flame, surprisingly; the most atrocious actions born out of sincere sympathy). They're monsters created by despair, and there's something truly tragic about it.
(I would also be super interested to look into the evolution (or more likely degradation) of the omenkillers' beliefs and practices throughout time; I'm like 146% sure that they're very heterogeneous decentralized group and there're a billion and one different approaches among them)

Me: /discussing with a friend how Manus could originally died in ds pre-canon/
A friend: But what if Gwyn killed him? Like, fear of the Dark and such.
Me, sertified Gwyn/Manus shipper and angst enjoyer: Oh. Oh.

"You're so witless I'd need a vegetable fork to kill you," - king Morgott being displeased with some of his courtiers, probably.

I think it's really underrated how amazing the relationship between Radahn and Sellia is.
Like. The dude, a literal son of a god, traveled to the edge of the world, found there some descendants of godslayers with a reputation of evil incarnate, studied their ways, called them his bros, was accepted as one of their own and fought actual stars and the rot goddess for them. What a story.

Mohg (mostly) headcanons
1) Unlike many, I hc that Mohg is the older twin. This does not affect much of my Morgott hcs, but is a key thing for Mohg himself.
2) Mohg was always the most emotional/charismatic of the two, inheriting Godfrey's fiery temper, while Morgott took after their mother in his aloof demeanor and grim cold-blooded pragmatism. Both of them (and Godwyn too) did inherit Marika's sense of fashion though.
3) Before becoming the Lord of Blood, Mohg wasn't actually known for many talents; while Morgott was a skilled illusionist and swordsman, Mohg's greatest talent - manipulating people - was unused due to his isolation from society.
4) Mohg cares greatly and is utterly loyal to his full brothers, but doesn't count other demigods as family at all. He also adored Godwyn to no end, basically having him as a role model and the image of what a Cool Big Brother should be like; thus Godwyn's death was more devastating to Mohg than to anyone else.
5) Mohg's whole idea of the new dynasty comes from the desire to be as good a big brother as Godwyn was (and to take revenge on all those goldy graceful bitches, of course). He truly fears for Morgott due to his devotion to the Golden Order and wants to save him, but unfortunately for Mohg, Morgott doesn't want to be saved, especially not by him.
6)...and Morgott isn't completely wrong in this, for Mohg's Formless Mother does not care about Mohg or his dynasty by themselves and only uses them to get herself an Empyrean. Mohg would refute this claim with passion though.
7) When the alliance of the demigods collapsed after the Night of the Black Knives, Mohg left Leyndell with Miquella and Malenia, having previously received an invitation to live in Elphael. He already was in communion with the Formless Mother at the time, so it was all part of his plan, but Morgott knew nothing of that and therefore concidered this a betrayal.
8) I cannot remember how Mohg's name is written in English and use wiki every time I try to spell it

yeah I'm back to shitpost even more
Though I'm generally used to being sociophobic/socially awkward, sometimes this is really annoying. Like, I'd like to draw (when I remember how to do it after the break) a picture for a great fic I recently read, but I can't even ask the author if I'm allowed to, bruh.

I wish there was more content with Cuckoo knights in ER fandom.
Like, call my tastes specific, but there's something about being just a dude with a sword and a bunch of shiny rocks in a land full of glintstone wizards, moon witches and enchanted knights.

I'll be off for a surgery from next week and won't be allowed to draw for some time, but I believe I'll be able to write a bit later during my recovery period. Unfortunately, my writing options include:
1) a script for a comic about my ds ocs (realistically, I'll probably never finish it);
2) very angsty Ornstein/Ciaran fic that is somehow inspired by One Hundred Years of Solitude;
3) post-canon fic about the Bearer of the Curse and Shanalotte that is gen but kinda not;
4) a fic about Morgott and Godrick having the most toxic family relations ever.
......why can't I just write something that won't cause mental damage to its readers.

Just a list of my (main) ER ocs with short descriptions, kinda humorous yet 100% accurate.
(I wrote this for a friend and translated into english because why not lol)
A sellsword who became a frenzied scholar, adopted an omen and a mimic tear as his children and made an accord with Morgott for the sake of said children, also accidentally committed parricide in the past; killed by Morgott because Frenzied Flame does brrr.
Former Cuckoo knight in service of Gideon Ofnir, sertified Carian hater, definitely committed some albinauric genocide, used to date the frenzied sellsword from previous paragraph; somehow survived to the end and became Elden Lord.
Archmage soup woman who is so evil that even the Frenzied Flame acolytes are afraid of her, sertified Malenia hater, taught the omen witch who hated her so she could kill her properly when the time comes.
Said omen witch, an adopted daughter of the frenzied sellsword; has PTSD after Gelmir campaign yet remains the nicest person in this list, raised dozens of omen children in the sewers, also a kindling maiden of the story.
Battle-thirsty mimic tear with severe identity issues, another adopted child of the frenzied sellsword, sertified Morgott hater, killed an actual god but is afraid to tell the girl he likes that he's in fact a slime of silver from the underground; also Elden Lord in the end.

Some hcs about Morgott and Malenia
You already know that in my hcs Morgott and Mohg were released from the sewers before the Shattering and were acquainted with other demigods, so...
1) Radagon prohibited the omen twins from ever meeting his own children, though Godwyn introduced his siblings to each other anyway.
2) When Malenia was a child, no one wanted to teach her how to fight because "oh poor child she's so ill", which infuriated her to no end. The only exception she found was Mogrott, who was a lousy teacher but still explained her the basics and instilled in her the idea that curved sword are cool. Later the Blue Dancer taught her normally, but the Cool Curved Swords idea remained.
3) Malenia (and Miquella) know that the omen twins are wearing human disguise, but she has only seen Mohg's true form and have no idea how Morgott really looks like. She's a little curious about it though.
4) Malenia formed an alliance with Morgott during the Shattering, and her March took place with the logistics support from Leyndell. She also didn't kill Godrick because Morgott straight up asked her not to.
5) Morgott and Malenia deeply respect each other for the unwavering will and undying loyalty, though both of them think that the other's loyalty and talents are misplaced (with Miquella and the Greater Will respectively)
6) At some point during the Shattering, Malenia asked Morgott to join the Haligtree and live in Elphael in his true form. Of course, he rejected, but he wasn't nearly as furious about it as he might have been if the same was offered by Miquella.

Welcome to my occasional rumbling about the Frenzied flame
You know, I always get disappointed when I see someone calling the Frenzied flame "evil". Because it just... isn't. The whole point is that it's not evil; in fact, the Flame is the only god in the entire ER setting who was shown to be genuinely caring and sympathetic towards the suffering of the others.
See, this is why the Flame is so horrific, so mind-breaking and so eldritch - because it acts from the best and kindest intentions, which turn into a nightmare because of how different the space deity and mortals think. It's a god of insanity and compassion, not just some evil for the sake of evil, and to see it as such is... it's a waste of such a brilliant concept, honestly.

Some ER headcanons I want to illustrate one day
No particular order/common theme here, just sort of a to-do list for me after I'm done with my medical stuff.
1) Morgott actually have multiple fake illusive appearances, including a Radagon-ish redhead dude, a night cavalryman, and a lady. I drew something about this, but I want a proper art.
2) War surgeon Varre first meets a handsome blond man in a field hospital; said man may or may not be a certain omen who got an artefact for mimicry from his brother and is now using it to recruit people into his cult.
3) Picture of Godwyn in St. George iconography and song-based picture of Rennala and Radagon. Both in one paragraph, because I'd do it like a stained glass stuff.
4) People of Sellia dye their hair red to honor Radahn. And generaly more things about Radahn and sellians.
5) Godrick's dying phrase from the game +a comic about how he was kicked out from the capital by Morgott.

ER OCs appreciation post
I just wanted to use this post to say that I adore it so much when someone makes an elden ring oc that isn't the protagonist!Tarnished. No disrespect to the protagonists intended, but it really fascinates me to see what people can come up with when they are not restricted by the game's main plot.
So yeah, if you've ever doubted your ER ocs - do not, they are cool and valid and are one the main reasons why I love this fandom so much.
