AHEM. To Brutus!
MAY WE TEAR EVERY HUMANS FLESH APART, TORTURING THEM AND MAKING THEM SUFFOCATE BY EACH PASSING MOMENT.
what I’m saying here is uh.. I like torturing humans.
Is this that blasted fool with a gumdrop for a head?
Random or whatever. Whatever it is you’re trying to accomplish, it won’t work. You’re just throwing big words around that you don’t even know the meaning of.
Besides I’ve gained some new ideas thanks to Zan’s family.

(FUCK I FORGOT SORRY)
Marcid felt a little uncomfortable and nervous as Woe had examined her body, explaining how she’d be contorted and tortured practically.
She held her arm and looked away awkwardly before nodding her head.
“No no.. continue talking.. I have to know some alternative ways before I just choose a..”
“Choose what? You can’t choose. You have too many variables to consider.”
“Seeing how your cards are playing, you have no Ace up your sleeve..”
“You wouldn’t possibly be thinking that.”
“It’s suicide.”
“A. Choice. You’ll. Regret.”
Marcid felt an outburst as she screamed for the voices to be quiet. She looked back at Woe, ashamed before sighing off at him with her hand.
“Just.. keep talking i need alternatives..”

Marcid wakes up in her leaf pile, tossing over and hitting her cave wall. She sat up staggered, then began to crawl out of her comfortable closure.. although she felt something off inside her body.
She shrugs it off, got up and stretch and started walking to her house. Then before Marcid makes it out of her cave, she fell down to her knees. A sharp pain inside of her body made her begin coughing out drops of blood. Eventually these drops turned into puddles, and then pools. . .
She felt this same pain before, different scenario, different situations. Trying not to panic she began to crawl to her leaf pile something that was hidden seemed now important, yet her thorns prevented her doing so.
Marcid now lays on the floor in a puddle of her own blood and petals. She knew Brutus going to take over her body and didn’t know what to do.
Guts helplessly watched from afar. He hasn’t been familiarized with Marcid enough and doesn’t know how to help.
Marcid coughs roughly, she looks up to her cave entrance which now seems so far away.
“You know. . I always thought we could have got along. It’s a shame I have to do this to you.
Struggle, cry, resist all you want. I know what choice I’m making. You haven’t even made yours. . so when you think about it, I’m helping you at my mercy.
The truth is. . I WANT you to struggle, it’s the only satisfaction I get from you mortals. Once you’ve fallen, I’ll take over your poor friends and build my garden once again.
You will only delay the inevitable, Marcid.”

A shiver runs through Marcids spine as she listened to the statement given by Woe.
Her thoughts soon begin to spiral out and lead her to start overthinking.. with this she begins to talk to herself, but to her she’s talking to Brutus and Guts. She turns around to do so.
“No no.. if she does do something wrong it’s for the greater good right..? There wouldn’t be a PROBLEM like any other person.. everyone’s good in their own way!”
“If that’s true, then how could you speak upon.. maybe lives or.. cities or.. any life form to have been killed by her then? Just.. a possibility.”
“If anything, makes her a bit more understandable. Seeing where she’s coming from her and I aren’t too far off. Maybe not in lives but experiences.”
“Just shut up.. shut up.. that doesn’t. It doesn’t make sense. What if we’re the good universe or.. timeline or.. whatever the hell this fucked up world is?”
The voices fall silent before cutting to realization of Woes presence. She turned back to him and began to think of words but couldn’t form them properly into a sentence.
“If.. Zan.. Woe.. mmm…”
She takes a moment.
“Woe if you could.. or Uni.. if either of you could figure out a way to tear.. you know who out, how would you do it, regardless of the pain or my.. fragility or Zan.”

(ITS OKAY DONT WORRY!!!)
Marcid slowly detached herself from Woe, she went from a child sobbing to their parents into a skeptical expression that hid worry.
“What do you mean, ‘would let us do’? Has.. does she not trust you two or.. she not.. I don’t know..”
Marcid slowly backed away holding her arm in an awkward position as she looked up at Woe.
“Can I ask you something..? Does Zan ever.. change? Like.. become dense.. defensive.. ..overprotecting..?”
Marcid starts to sway side to side anxiously.

Marcid began coughing up water with a mixture of their blood covering their mouth. She looked around confused before locking her eyes with Woe.
His appearance scared her at first yet she felt relieved it wasn’t someone else. Marcid snatched herself out of his grasp before sitting down on the edge of the pool water with her feet dangling in.
“I uh.. I appreciate your effort.. I’m glad you had came for me, really.”
Marcid notices Guts hovering in the corner.
“Did you let Guts help you? I appreciate that if you did.. he’s really a nice guy. I uh.. I’m sorry in this was such a bother-”
Marcid placed her hands on her thighs and tightly gripped her fists, crying a bit
“I don’t.. I don’t think I can keep this up much longer.. I need to get rid of him.. entirely.. I need to get this parasite out of my fucking body..”
Marcid turned to Woe and gave him a bloody hug, she was now crying fully while Guts watched afar, then with a swift motion he disappeared back into shadows.

Guts was extremely shocked, though without any facial expressions to show it he stayed quiet and floated away.
Not knowing the dangers that could come he hid nearby the pool of water and watched from a far.
“This plan doesn’t sound great.” He muttered to himself, lowering his level of elevation while he stares.
Marcid slightly twitches at the touch of the worm like substance. . Once it began to secrete its toxin she began to slowly wake up.
Her vision was horrible and she couldn’t shake the feeling of being watched.. then there it was. Pain. That strong burning sensation that ran through her body, it drove her insane.
She believed she was on fire, she couldn’t see anything to resemble it and yet she felt the horrible effect of having her skin being boiled as she wore it.
Marcid let out a blood curdling scream while more and more thorns begin to grow from the stress she endured. Eventually she got up with her bloodshot eyes from tears and jerked her body in a fiendish way towards her pool then threw herself into the water.
She floated in the water face down, seeming as if she drowned her thorns began to break and painfully retract back into her skin. The battle was over, and she looked worse than how she started.

Guts floats slightly closer to gain a better view as to what Woe was doing. Soon after the observation Woe began to hear him.
“I wouldn’t know. . I haven’t known her for so long. I would assume she does though.”
He then floated back to his original position, making sure that he kept his word.
“Are you sure that this is safe?”
Guts said with growing curiosity, yet a bit of concern and skepticism.

Seemingly distraught Guts took a staggered step back, his claws curled back into his hand before he stood beside Marcid, his tall wings covering her slightly as his eyes hardened.
“Hah. I see that this world isn’t. . fond of demons. You have no reason to trust me, all that I can assure is I’m here for her sake.
As you are, and so I am. If you feel I’m a threat to what ever it is you shall do, I will depart.
Heed my warnings though. If I find her in a worsened state after being dealt with, from your hands. I can assure you, the seven deepest layers of hell will open for you.
I will be watching.”
Guts extended his wings, freeing Marcid as he steps backward and took a slight bow before transforming back into his eyeball form.
A thick residue of blood was left on the floor and cave roof where he transformed, leaving drips of blood filling the atmospheric silence with an ominous humming while he floated nearby.

The floating eyeball far behind Marcid began to float slowly towards Woe. An ominous humming sound emerged from it before the eyeball cracked and broke open.
Guts comes out of the shattered eyeball, now in his physical form as he stares at Marcid then back at Woe.
He extended his long wings as they stretched outwards, an aura of feathers surrounds him and Marcid. Guts had no torso, no body, only his exposed intestines followed by his arms and legs floating in place.
He was entirely engulfed by darkness, the only apparent physical trait that could be seen was his cold dark golden eyes, followed by his dark claws that were twitching from the sunlight.
“Woe. Such a peculiar name.. Marcid isn’t doing too well clearly. She fell unconscious and from my observations she won’t last too long in this battle.
I can tell you mean no harm.. you seem fragile, just like her. Although.. I don’t exactly know.. you.. beings are unpredictable.
Forgive my ignorance and rudeness. My name is Guts and if you care to help Marcid then we need to get her away from this place. Will you help me?”
Guts steps forward to Woe who appeared skiddish. He held out his pitch black clawed hands, which appeared to start twitching more as they neared sunlight.

Marcid lifts her head and stares with watering eyes, unable to comprehend the figure. She began to softly cry thinking the reaper came for her sake.
From fear, pain, and blood loss she fell unconscious while the thorns sprouted out and contorted around her body, further engulfing her.
Vines slowly grow from the ground and lift her body up as if presented to this figure, what their next choice would be relied on them.

— AFTER THE TRIP TO THE STATIC —
Marcid opened her eyes and she realized she was back home. She thought the strange appearance of the mysterious woman who visited her in the static was a figment of her imagination and brushed it off.
She walked into her cave, thorns shaking, piercing, cutting her skin before standing in front of her sink and washing the blood off her face. Marcid thought to herself, just to be rudely interrupted by the two guests inhabiting her mind.
“You really believed what she said didn’t you? You believe what they all say. Go ahead and take the chance and let your guard down.. it’ll only lead you back to me.”
“Shut up.. I do believe them.. I believe them and every goddamn word they say.. if it weren’t for you then I would have some.. some fucking say and.. choice.. and..”
“And what. Free will? You aren’t nothing without your own body. Your soul won’t even be there to save you, nor you pitiful friends. They only pity you and themselves for your cause. YOU are the cause of their suffering.”
Marcid turned the running tap off before holding her head and ran to the pool of water, dumping her head into it
“To think.. drowning your thoughts out.. would have any effect on us. You are lucky enough to even drown us in the static. Better find a solution.. and quick. Mar-cid.”
The voices stopped in her head and she looked up back at her broken mirror, the image of herself on her knees with a soaked head and bloody body made her feel ashamed.
Marcid stood up and began to head to her house, holding the side of her arm while doing so. Pieces of her thorns wilted and broke off as she began to cry softly.
Walking inside she collapsed on the couch, her thorns retracting back into her skin painfully and yet she was numb to it. She laid on her blood-soaked couch staring out at the window with tears running down her cheeks.
Marcid mutters to herself,
“Carpe diem pereo, iam vas non erit. Vera sum cordi meo. Uno die ad tempus, liber ero..”
Marcid falls unconscious.
