These sources are all reliable and contribute towards reaching a conclusion in my essay. The essay is now upto it’s second body paragraph. I have analysed two different campaigns, targetting certain classes. I now just have to write the third, analysing the success through the above sources information

Week 11

I have found the angle of looking at the design tactics employed across two eras of campaigning. This will allow me to link the essay back to design whilst being able to create an argument for why the campaigns in the 80s were more successful.

Week 10

In the midst of a busy week I largely left my essay alone. In class we started writing our first body paragraphs. Large parts of it are to be scrapped as I was struggling to link my first arguments to the concept of design.

Week 9

I found nothing relevant enough to my topic at the library. I will have to find the bulk of my sources online. I have began constructing my essays intro but am struggling to find a conclusive topic / argument

Reflecting on Formative Feedback

To get an A on my formative was extremely confidence boosting, as this is not so design based compared to the other courses, I found this the hardest but ended up doing the best on it. I know I need to expand my idea to create a substantial enough topic to create my essay, some potential routes would be to 

Look at campaigns of the past and compare to the 80s

Analyse the success of these campaigns

How they created design at the time, specifically the protest poster, i.e the militant group.

Annotation: The Providence arcade in Westminster, London highlights the many architectural differences between buildings in the city. The Building in focus is of Greek revival style and in it we get to see a colourful set of banners hanging from the buildings holders, reflective of the emerging colourful themes beginning to occur in the 1980′s.
