Paying peanuts? Expect monkeys.
Why does “you get what you pay for” only apply to consumers and not employers?
Why do employers offering minimum wage expect dedicated, hard working, knowledgeable, experienced employees instead of just someone who shows up and does the job?
If you’re only willing to pay the minimum, you should only expect to get the minimum.

While I’m here, these are just a few things I want followers who aren’t in New Zealand and don’t know what it’s like here to know:
1. The prime minister, and now most media outlets here, HAVE labelled it as an act of terrorism from someone with extremist views. No one is saying he’s mentally ill, and no one is saying he’s a lone wolf.
2. This is most likely the biggest terror attack in New Zealand in nearly 30 years. (Edit: its officially the worst mass shooting in the entire history of the country. I’m sick). This isn’t just another mass shooting for us, and we’re all panicked for a reason.
3. With 49 confirmed dead now, it’s guaranteed we’ll at least know someone who knows someone who was in that mosque. It’s a small country.
4. While they’re not perfect, the police here aren’t as corrupt as those in the USA. They are here to help anyone who feels unsafe, and they will be taking measures to keep Muslims safe especially. Already they’re not letting white people into the mosque in my city.
Please, stay safe everyone, and please read reputable sources before reblogging every little thing you see about this.

Can I ask, how old are you, and how long did it take for you to get to your level of skill as an artist? You have a real talent, man!
I’m 21 as of last month!
I started drawing when I was 8 and started learning to draw properly some (many) years after that lol

Several Republicans are offering full-throated denouncements of Trump’s military transgender ban
WASHINGTON — Hours after Trump’s surprise announcement that transgender people will be banned from military service, no Republican senators have come to Trump’s defense.
In the middle of a contentious health care debate Wednesday afternoon, Republicans mostly either declined to comment on the president’s ban or expressed their disagreement with his decision.
“Anybody who wants to serve in the military should serve in the military,” Sen. Cory Gardner (R-Colo.) said.
Sens. Thom Tillis (R-N.C) and Dan Sullivan (R-Alaska) echoed Gardner’s sentiment. Tillis said he agreed with Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), who said any American fit for military service should be able to serve.
“My initial reaction is, if you can meet [the military’s physical] standards, we shouldn’t care who you are,” Sullivan said. He added that he would like to hear from top U.S. generals as to why such a ban would be needed.
Sens. Lindsay Graham (R-S.C.) and Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.) agreed that the Pentagon needed to be consulted before instituting a ban.
Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) took a categorical stance against the ban: “I don’t think we should be prejudiced against anybody,” he said. Read more (7/26/17 3 PM)
