Not really sure what to title this one. I’m pushing myself into digital painting a bit more this year. Ultimately I want to find not only a workflow, but also figure out how to make them look more on the traditional side then the pristine digital. I think attempting to do bright pristine digital has been part of my problem with getting into it. Though I am finding it hard to get a more natural look with the tones, so a lot more experimentation with color pallet is needed. Images of my sculpt on a collaborative piece. Theme was eyes and was submitted to the next art show at SPA in downtown Barre VT. Made with a reclaimed lamp, plaster gauze, sculpey and resin. Best part is, the eyes glow in the dark, and reacts to blacklight. As some of you may have heard by now, my work is now a award winning print shop. What you may not know, is that it was my ABC Animal Skulls book that won the pinnacle award for our division in the Art book category. My first book, my baby, that I hand drew and inked every page, did, and wrote every word. P Scanned with care, layedout, then painstakingly processed and re processed until I got the right settings to get the clearest prints, printed cut, collated, creased cover, perfect bound. Every single step, every single page I had my hands on thanks to my work @cwprintanddesign who gave me the materials, opportunity, and encouragement to move forward with the project. It's exciting to think that I am now not only an award winning printer, I am also an award winning, graphic designer, and illustrator. My sad foods even made the cut!
