average post will be like “melville has adhd” and even if you lowkey agree, the lack of nuance and attempt to reduce historical analysis to just finding a fitting diagnosis completely turns you off
#is this a bitch post? a bit sorry#And I get that these statements are supposed to be funny like half the time#And I’m talking about when people say it in full earnestness#marcus conspires

sorry for disappearing, I was stuck in the hallway having the most awkward conversation about lesbian sex with a group of straight girls while my friend was hooking up with a bulgarian in my room. yeah we were out there for three weeks.

kinda went insane thinking about what a followup house episode set in 2025 in accordance to the direction that the show had been going so here it is:
cuddy is trying to get a sixteen-year old rachel out of bed at some ungodly hour in order to get to school. we get the typical montage of a mom-and-daughter yelling match while they both get ready. while brushing her teeth, rachel's gums begin to bleed and simply won't stop. cuddy then rushes her to the nearest hospital.
house opening credits
the people at the emergency room don't take rachel's case seriously, they think she probably just overflossed or had a gum infection or something (this is gonna be so medically inaccurate guys i'm not a doctor). cuddy then makes the flash decision to go to her old workplace: princeton-plainsboro teaching hospital.
times have changed at ppth. foreman is still the dean of medicine, chase is still the new head of diagnostics. everything was relatively the same until last month, when foreman made the flash decision to hire a new ER head: allison cameron.
chase feels distraught. betrayed. he's been acting bitchy all month. so his mood isn't exactly the brightest when his old boss is now crowding over him to insure he only gives the very best care to her daughter. of course he's going to give the very best care! but he also gave cameron his very best care and look where that got him! quantity over quality people!
after a few misdiagnoses cuddy is getting impacient with chase. she starts berating him that house could do better, and in the background rachel does a confused face, all like "house? isn't that the guy who rammed into our house with a car?" finally chase gets exasperated and tells cuddy to find house if it means so much to her, and to please leave him alone.
cuddy then by some miracle finds out that house had been living under various bridges over the past few years since wilson's death , and occasionally under the custody of the nypd for public urination. his drug use has become much more severe than what it ever was when he was in the hospital. he is almost constantly hallucinating: wilson and thirteen (the two people he had euthanized) most constantly haunt him, and others (kutner, amber, stacy) repeatedly appear. when cuddy collects him, he believes she too is a hallucination.
cuddy knows she cannot check house into a rehab facility, not with him having faked his own death, evaded parole, and illegally euthanized two of his closest friends (although the law doesn't know about the last part). she proceeds to rope cameron into trying to get house clean asap, but the initial withdrawal nearly kills him, and cuddy realizes that the idea of getting him off drugs in time to save her daughter is a fantasy at best. she then goes to spend time with her daughter in the hospital, having realized spending time with her is the most important thing at that moment.
while this all happened, chase and his new fellows cracked the case. idk what the problem was don't ask me i'm not a doctor. cuddy is overjoyed so she tells chase she's proud of him and invites him for dinner. as a result, chase finally gets a maternal figure.
cameron somehow gets stuck with a very unstable house in her apartment, but she finally shows that she CAN give up on a sob story, and with foreman she decides to take him to a rehab facility.
head of the rehab facility is adams, who is then revealed to have been married to park since 2017. #happypride
