The island of Sardinia is an autonomous region of Italy. There you will have the chance to hear the Sardinian language sometimes, considered by many scholars the closest to Latin, and see some of the most diverse traditional costumes in the world.
Each village and town has its own traditional outfits, incredibly different from each other. These are usually worn during important celebrations, when hundreds of Sardinian women and men gather and parade in their folk costumes.
Johara is from a small Sardinian town called Ottana. I met her 10 days ago, during the Feast of the Redeemer in Nuoro, a few kilometres from her home. I continue my journey in Italy and these days I鈥檓 in Milan with The Atlas of Beauty.
